You're right, Johnson is a dog this year and I need Jones for my playoff push after Barber is worn out at the end of the year.

I just looked ahead and I don't think I'm going to benefit from the bye weeks. Everyone I face either has their full squad or has one or two chumps on bye. My record could drop really fast.

I went into this week with 6 players on a bye, facing the #1 team. I put up 180+ points. You never know.

Last week, LN proclaims I have no RB's. This week my 3 starting RB's score 65 points, and Jacobs didn't even play.

Why are you even still mentioning LN at this point? Why give him any credibility??

He annoyed me greatly by saying I had no RB's, constantly trying to trade his garbage RB's for my stars, and predicting I would be 0-3. Now that I'm 2-2, ahead of him, and IMO have the best collection of RB's, I'm going to make sure he knows about it.

My RB's only had 11 less points than his entire team!

Wow, I feel lucky after that win. I don't remember Ward doing much when I had the game on before I fell asleep, and somehow he managed to sneak in and snag those points I needed.

Commissioner's Note

This is a general note to everybody - please keep your line-ups active. I'm not talking about the late Sunday inactive which you may not have caught, because you were out Sunday morning. That's OK with me. I'm talking about the open spots due to bye week players or players who were ruled inactive much earlier in the week. If any of you forsee problems setting up your line-up, please let me know and I'll see how I can help you out.

Believe me, I have a hard enough time deciding who to put in each week. I watch them like a hawk.

Just as an aside - we won't (hypothetically) get penalized for playing a Questionable player out of necessity, and they ended up not playing, would we?

JG played Coles who was Questionable and he scored 36 points. It could go either way so I don't see why anyone should be penalized for that.

No, I don't penalize people for taking a gamble on questionable players. It's your choice. What gets me are spots that aren't filled when they should have been.

I posted it before (and it's long) but here are my rules on "inactive" teams.

Rules on Non-Playing Teams for the Head-to-Head League - Hopefully, we won't have to resort to this since the H-2-H League was by-invite-only and I trust you guys to play the entire year, but if we ever come to a situation like in previous years when some guys just stop playing to the detriment of the league, I wanted to lay out my rules on it.

Plainly put, it's 2 Strikes and You're Out. Strikes are simple. If in any particular week, you play a player that:

- is on a bye week
- or is clearly not playing and listed as "Out" or "NA" or "IR"
- or you leave any roster positions empty

... you get a strike for that week. If a strike occurs, I will inform the league each Tuesday when I post the scores.

In my opinion, those are the only things that should count as strikes. I am not here to legislate strategy so if you want to play a "Doubtful" DeShaun Foster, go ahead. If you choose not to help yourself through Free Agency, that's your choice. But if you play a player that is clearly not playing, then you're hurting the competitive balance of the league and in the words of Vito, "that, I do not forgive."

Just to be clear, even if you have multiple infractions in the same week (e.g. you have one player on bye, one player on IR, etc...), that still counts as only one strike. Strikes are for weeks, not for individual instances in any particular week.

What happens after you get a second strike? You're out. You will be locked from making any more changes to your team. Control of the team will be shifted to me (da Commish) and I will set the "best possible" team based on Yahoo's projections. The locked team will not be able to make any trades and can only make free agent acquisitions if the team is in dire need of filling roster spots (* subject to the Commissioner's discretion). If the locked team is playing me in any particular week, I will step aside and JG will decide on the locked team's line-up.

There is one way to erase a strike though. If you decide to leave a roster spot open because you believe there were no viable replacements in your line-up or on Free Agency and you can convince me of that by PM or through the boards, then I will erase the strike against you.

You still don't have RBs, LJ might do good against teams like Denver or Atlanta or the Colts with horrible run defenses but put him against someone like Minnesota and I don't see him doing well. His O-Line isn't the same one that made him and Holmes fantasy beasts a few years ago.

Brandon Jacobs shares time with Bradshaw and Ward. Deuce McCallister has Reggie Bush and Piere (I know I spelled that wrong) Thomas in the backfield with him.

They are all capable of huge weeks, but not very good for consistency.
