Isn't this a strange hour for a verdict to be coming in?

Apparently the jury decided to keep deliberating. It is strange. BTW, I'm predicting he walks again on all counts, although I think there's a chance the armed robbery charges might stick.

Can you believe it's been 13 years since he got away with murder?

No... And what makes it totally freaky is that the verdict will be read on the same exact day as the first trial.

Wow, that is weird

He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"

So what’s the labyrinth?

That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

Supposedly the delay in reading the verdict is because they're waiting for O.J. to arrive at the court. I hope Al Cowlings isn't driving him there.

I hope this gives closure to the Goldmans and the Browns.

Only in the U.S. can kidnapping and robbery give you a life sentence, while murder hands you a slap on the wrist. whistle

Probably a question for our attorneys like Klydon, but can the Goldman family now obtain their money from OJ if he is in jail? My gut tells me no, that his assets do not change from being protected (particularly his NFL pension) whether OJ is behind bars or not.

In all honesty, Goombah, they probably weren't ever going to collect a nickel off of that piece of shit anyway. Why do you think he moved to Florida? It's the one of easiest states in the nation to protect your assets in. I'm sure that the Goldmans would rather have him in jail.

I felt just terrible for his girlfriend, watching her wail as the verdict was read rolleyes. What is wrong with some of these women?!?!

The same kind of woman that married Ted Bundy when he was in jail. Idiots beyond belief.

Didn't the Goldmans and the Browns collect some money from that horrible book? I loved the way that they redesigned the book jacket so that the "If" in "If I Did It" was so minuscule that it appeared that the title was "I Did It".

I still don't understand the kidnapping charge. Under the guidelines they're using in Nevada, wouldn't any armed robbery also include kidnapping? I don't think there's been an armed robbery where the robber told the victims: "you're free to go if you like".

I know one thing about Nevada. They do NOT f*** around where crimes against casinos are concerned. A card cheat can expect to get maxed out there (2-5 in some cases).

I hate to defend OJ in any way, but his lawyer made a good point. OJ could have robbed a bank with an AK-47, duct-taped all the employees, and the charges would be less than what he was charged with in this robbery.

Our legal system seems to be so inconsistent, but at least he's finally going to jail.

You know what? His kids are adults now. They're probably better off not having him around.

His lawyers are already planning their appeal, and motion for a new trial.
