So, all I gotta do is heat up a fryin pan???
JG, may I remind you that we had carbon monoxide poisoning a few years ago. My younger daughter passed out and they shut off the gas to our house for three days in December while we had the furnace and hot water heater replaced. The gentleman from the gas company said that his meter was reading 9,999 because that was as high as it could go.
The bird, whose cage is in a room NEXT to the furnace and hot water heater, lived. So much for my canary in a coal mine. He's Bird. Shirley Bird. Haha, sounds like early bird.

Anyone lurking around? Seem pretty deserted on the ol' BB tonight. I trust you all are having a wonderful weekend? I actually began my Christmas shopping today. TIS

TIS I'm lurking for a few more minutes before I go pick up my wife. I'll be reading my new book "Hit and Run" by Lawrence Block as I wait. I ended up paying $9.25 on Ebay, not the greatest price but a whole lot better than $25 Barnes and Nobles wants.

$2.87? Wow, what a bargain. (who would have thought). It's about 3.15/20 in my area. Yea, I got my TSA statement and lost some money too. I am not a big invester which as it stands now, is a good thing evidently. Anyway, weather here is beautiful, cooling down into te high 60's/low 70's but sunny, clear and beautiful. Did all the BBer's get invited to a party they didn't tell s about? How dare them not be here when we are. I'm very tired though, don't know how long I'll be able to stay awake tonight. TIS

Southern CA is sunny almost always Olivant. I really can't complain about the weather. It's kind of a treat IMHO when we get rainy weather. We DO have a rainy season but even then, it's usually (not always but usually) not that bad. The best thing about CA is the climate, which you just can't beat(and of course, it is a pretty scenic state too). TIS

Mig, The leaves change somewhat but NOTHING like it does back East or Midwest...nowhere near as pretty. We get season change (believe it or not) but on a much much smaller scale than you do. It took me a couple years of living in CA before I noticed the distinct changes in the seasons. Another plus, you can plan a picnic and/or family outdoor outing and chances are you'll get decent weather. TIS

What is stopping you? just give it a clever label like "RARE!!!1!1! STAR WARS HAN SOLO ACTION FIGURE SMOKING A QUARTER OF ACTION FIGURE MARY JANE!!1! Action figures may or may not be included" That could actually work. You could make a bit of cash before everyone caught on to the code. Hmmm...
The hero and the coward both feel the same thing, but the hero uses his fear, projects it onto his opponent, while the coward runs. It's the same thing, fear, but it's what you do with it that matters. Cus D'Amato

It might work better if you coupled Mary Jane with Spider-Man instead.

Okay, so I had a few glasses of wine and then clicked on a banner ad that said it'd tell me my IQ instantly. I probably should subtract 50 pts for just clicking on it to begin with, but, I figured WTF. lol So I take it -- man, I really hate those number sequence questions, and it seemed that was every-other damn question! But in the end, this test said 126 (Top 3%). Not too shabby, I thought -- especially being a bit buzzed. So then I looked up "IQ 126" and this site says I'm comparable to a PhD -- of course ...but then it said comparable to an attorney. Man, what a depressing slap in the face! J/K KL/DT! I'd've provided the link, but, it's one of those bullshit sites that asks for all your personal info like cell phone and mother's maiden name along with name/address and other crap (mostly I provided fake info, of course)... so... grain of salt! (tho the questions seemed kinda legit)

Buy a real car and save some money and headaches. Hondas are nice, and last forever.

You would turn down a free Mercedes? Yes. I'm not a "car nut" nor looking for a cock extension or some wasted money pseudo-status symbol in my driveway. Gimme something reliable and dependable, yet still looks decent. Hondas (and okay, some Toyotas) are just fine.

And this car was our only car for a year or so. I know nothing about cars, but this car was fun to drive and comfy. I hate driving or riding in my Wife's huge SUV. It had been nice and reliable until now. We used to have a Toyota that was awesome until my wife wrecked it and had to be cut out with the JAWS OF LIFE!
