Dogs are loving and great to have. Nothing beats coming home from a bad day and having something so consistently freaking happy to see you. However, they are so consistent that they can be boring. The affection of a cat has to be EARNED, and is therefore more valued. If a dog jumps up and wants to cuddle with you, it's a given. Having a cat want to jump into your lap, though, is a gift.
What about having two jump in your lap at the same time?
Cats are awesome, they clean themselves and shit in a box. Dogs you have to let out and then avoid the dogshit in your yard later on and they are filthy animals.
