On TMZ they say that she isn't pregnant. For now anyway... maybe she will use protection this time.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments - you're a great group.

Oh, I've got some random post whoring to do! I now live on the first floor at my dorm, and it turns out there are about five or six stray cats that hang around the school. My friend and I have been naming them, and I've been trying for the longest to win one over, but they're all very paranoid and skittish. Until we met "Jinxie" - a beautiful fuzzy black cat, with a white tipped-tail (thus the "Meet the Parents" name)...he's absolutely adorable, and very friendly, and he's come by the past few nights to hang out with us on our porch. He actually fell asleep in my lap last night, and now I know I'm too attached. I wonder what Tiger and Angie would think if they knew I'm cheating on them. lol

That's how it all starts.

My step-daughter was in college and she had just adopted a kitten. It was Easter break and she was going to spend it with her mother and me... just one problem. What was she gonna do with her kitten? I told her she could bring it along with her (even though I already had two cats at home). Over the break I asked her what she would do with the cat when the school year was over and she said she'd just let it "out". My wife and I told her that wasn't right and we ended up keeping that kitten.

That was 17+ years ago, and that kitten is OzzieBoy. He's still with me and is my best companion. I never once regretted that decision to keep him.

Better break the news to Tiger and Angie now. wink

That's Amazon's bot that searches the site content to deliver "relevant" ads. I don't think it works very well. The current one (on the bottom right of the page) is about learning Spanish, another for a laptop case, etc.

Aw, SC, that was OzzieBoy?! That's adorable...you made a very good choice.

I'm just about ready to take this one home (except for reactions from the other two felines, and more importantly, my mom...haha), but I just can't believe he's actually a stray. He's around a lot, but he's such a nice-looking cat and so friendly, that I find it hard to believe he has no owner. The others are definitely 'street cats,' but this one seems like a housepet. We fed him tuna and milk today, though, so I don't think we'll have to worry about him leaving us!

We ended up "adopting" a stray calico kitten (which we so cleverly named Callie), except our cat at the time would not have it. If she saw Callie by the back door, she would growl and mew and throw herself at the door. We were afraid to let little Callie in the house for fear that Sterling would tear her to pieces. Finally, one of our neighbors took it in.

I would love to have a cat. But I'm allergic to them. If I were to bring a cat in the house I would be sneezing and itching all day long.

Cats = cute. Dogs = useless, unless they are seeing eye dogs, fire station dogs, police dogs, hunting dogs etc.

Dogs are scary. I hate dogs. One day I was about to climb up the stairs to my apartment. One of my neighbors was walking his dog, but with no leash mad As soon as the dog saw me, it started following me. My heart was pounding some million times a minute, but I tried to appear calm and didn't pay attention to it. It followed me on the stairs all the way up to my apartment. I opened the door, slowly went inside without opening the door much and quickly shut the door on the dog's face. One hell of a scary incident.
I don't know how dog owners think that others will share the same enthusiasm for their dogs. They will happily tell that it won't bite. Dogs either bite or lick, scary either way smile

I don't mind Cats. I find them more interesting to watch then Dogs. They're always running around then jumping massive heights and chasing shit. Always look like they're thinking about Global Domination.

But, Nothing beats a loyal Dog.

True. Cats have depth and grace, and are much more fascinating than dogs. We own dogs, but cats own us. They are royalty.

I swear my X Girlfriends cat, would imagine herself in situations and play around acting them out. I know it sounds stupid, but they play games with themselves. Like this cat would be sitting still, then the next second it would be off chasing itself around the lounge room pretending something was chasing it.

Now that I think about it, I kinda miss the little thing.

Dogs are loving and great to have. Nothing beats coming home from a bad day and having something so consistently freaking happy to see you. However, they are so consistent that they can be boring. The affection of a cat has to be EARNED, and is therefore more valued. If a dog jumps up and wants to cuddle with you, it's a given. Having a cat want to jump into your lap, though, is a gift.

What about having two jump in your lap at the same time? smile

Cats are awesome, they clean themselves and shit in a box. Dogs you have to let out and then avoid the dogshit in your yard later on and they are filthy animals.

Ahh yeah, but Cat shit can cause Schizophrenia

Five?? Wow. We have one cat, one dog, a bird and several fish.

I love them all, but there are days when I wish that useless pig of a bird would just fly off to bird heaven.

Cats and dogs are fantastic. We've had many over the years and they all were and are a pleasure. We had two pit bulls one of which died a few months ago. It was a great loss to us. So now we're down to three dogs and two cats.

We had a bird a few years back.

Mario the cockateel!

He squawked constantly. In the end we passed him along to my wifes brother, who passed him along in turn to somebody else.

Poor Mario (but he was annoying) tongue

Our cockatiel is named Shirley, which is ironic since it's male. My daughter named him when she was 6, so Shirley it is. Mr. Babe tries to make him feel better by calling him "Big Man". He throws his seeds and feathers everywhere. And he'll only live for about another 15 years or so.

So, all I gotta do is heat up a fryin pan???

JG, may I remind you that we had carbon monoxide poisoning a few years ago. My younger daughter passed out and they shut off the gas to our house for three days in December while we had the furnace and hot water heater replaced. The gentleman from the gas company said that his meter was reading 9,999 because that was as high as it could go.

The bird, whose cage is in a room NEXT to the furnace and hot water heater, lived. So much for my canary in a coal mine.
