The leaves change somewhat but NOTHING like it does back East or Midwest...nowhere near as pretty. We get season change (believe it or not) but on a much much smaller scale than you do. It took me a couple years of living in CA before I noticed the distinct changes in the seasons.
Another plus, you can plan a picnic and/or family outdoor outing and chances are you'll get decent weather.
