Hey DC, if you're there, I am (by popular request) making Prime Rib New Year's Day, using the receipe you gave me. It was a big hit. smile Hopefully I won't be as nervous the second tme around.

Thanks

I tried Dunkin Donuts coffee two days ago, based on rave reviews here. Pretty average coffee.
Or maybe that particular branch wasn't up to their general quality ohwell

Nevermind, I just had steamed fish, grilled aubergines, peppers and courgettes and lightly cooked some spinach in olive oil. Fanbleedingtastic.

I'm baking a ham.

Turi, did you cook or eat out? And what kind of fish was it?? And I swear that when I first read your post, I thought you had peppers and cigarettes and lightly cooked spinach. I thought it rather unusual.

Dunkin Donuts is not anything I'd reccomend to anyone. It's not great at all.

haha, I'm pretty sure I didn't! I like the Verona blend at Starbucks, but a lot of people here don't like Starbucks. Maybe it was that thread?

I love starbucks myself, so I didn't look for recommendations on that.

Sorry, you are right, I checked, you mentioned that you don't like it. You have mentioned Kripsy Kreme donuts.

JRCX, Pizzaboy, Goombah and SC seem to be the culprits grin

It's 6:50 a.m. here and I am browning off meatballs and sausage. Probably the only time of the year you'll see me cooking anything this early. lol Actually it smells pretty good in here. I am tempted to steal a meatball for a little pick-me-up. tongue

I was at Wal-Mart and came across a display for Pringles -- "Cheeseburger" and "Onion Blossom" flavors from their "limited edition" "Restaurant Cravers" line. For $1/can I figured WTF. I'm not their biggest fan, but I tell ya, these flavors are pretty dead on, especially the Onion Blossom! cool ...or maybe I think they're good because I tried them when I was starving... whistle

I love Pringles. Actually, I love chips of almost any kind, except the Salt and Vinegar ones. sick Mr. Babe refers to them as flavored with a feminine hygiene product.

Any of you know where I can get Danish butter cookies (those round blue tins) in a popular chain store? Last time I bought some from Walmart for my parents and now they want me to get them when I visit them. I tried a couple of Walmarts and Krogers, no luck frown And also some coffee flavored wafer sticks? All I see is french-vanilla and mint-chocolate. Any suggestions?

I'm so excited - I found out there's a new Bonefish Grill nearby! cool Got a $50 gift card for my birthday good for there, Outback, Carrabba's, or Flemings (not close by). I actually like Carrabba's, less so Outback, but have a decision to make for my birthday dinner tomorrow. smile

He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"

So what’s the labyrinth?

That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

Geoff, there are no Carraba's (that I know of) in California, but there is one in Michigan that my parents really love. They took me there when I visited last year and it was very nice. The calamari appetizer was great, as was their entrees. As a matter of fact, last year for Christmas I included a gift certificate for them as part of their gift.

Geoff, btw, I always will remember your birthday. If you recall, my grandson, Evan, shares the same birthday. He'll be two tomorrow. wink Also, wasn't it Zia's birthday as well?
