A well composed team doesn't need to rake points to win week-to-week.

Last time I checked, I only had one lucky win. The rest were earned.

Earned? You mean expected. lol

Okay, nothing personal against your opponents, but:

Week 1 you beat YO, who's currently in 12th place, 108-82
Week 2 you beat TU, who's currently in 13th place, 119-84
Week 3 you lost to FC, who's currently in 8th place, 92-110
Week 4 you beat BB, which was impressive, but barely: 107-105
Week 5 you beat DM, who's currently in 6th place. Not bad, 106-98
Week 6 you got creamed by KL, who's currently in 5th place, 123-164

So... for the first 3 weeks your two wins -- and loss -- were against weak teams, and you never broke 120 pts. Somehow you beat BB (highest-scoring and 1st Place team in the league), but obviously that was a problem on his end as he only scored 105 pts. Then you beat DMC, who's on a cold streak, but you still didn't score much. Then finally when you do score 120+ points in a week, you lose -- and badly.

Try playing a good team on a good week and let's see what happens. Hint: That'll be Week 10. tongue wink

Don't be so bitter. If you want a points league, you should have made one. This is what happens in head-to-head leagues.

And the only reason I was "creamed" by Klydon was because he had two wideouts with massive games and an RB with a massive game, all abnormally high scores, while my best wideouts had bye weeks. Overall, outside of the QB production and Stallworth, I'd say the rest of the team did quite well.

I'm not complaining, it happens...my point is that having the most points overall is not necessarily who wins a head-to-head league. Again, if you wanted a points league, why don't/didn't you make one?

Anyways, rather than continue this Special Olympics-quality debate, I'll go back to my relative obscurity now. Thanks.

Cold Streak? I'm not on a cold streak, you're the one on a Cold Streak I don't have that problem.

Oh wait, I'm thinking Dry Spell, yeah I'm on a Cold Streak you're in the dry spell, although to be in a dry spell you had to have had a wet spell first....

Bitter?? confused lol

My only point was: You've been playing a lot of weak teams, so of course you're going to win some with minimal effort from a mediocre team. tongue

I'm with JJ, This is a head to head league, not a rotisserie. We are as good as our records. That said, there's a long way to go.

In other news, importing stats into excel is easy, one click and it is all updated too! (Defensive stats, etc.)

His team may not be racking up points like BB, but he has been consistent in his scoring. 108, 119, 92, 107, 106 and 123. With the exception of that one 92 point week you have to score at least 106 to hope beating him. Consistency.

I am in third place and have the same record as DJ and have only 22 more total points but my scores are also consistent. 102, 133, 112, 107, 112 and 111. I know they may not be big blowouts, but they are good enough to win. That's what is so fun about head-to-head leagues.

Last year the best player all season lost the final game. Funny how that happened in real life too.

I was just looking at BB's team and noticed Reggie Bush (138 pts) has three return TD's. I didn't know we got points for our players returning kicks for TD's, I thought that score went to the DEF. Has it always been like that?

And that's why you are in second place. Congratulations. Out of curiosity, why are you trying to prove DJ doesn't deserve his record? You made a point to say "nothing personal against your opponents" and then basically put them down while attempting to do the same to DJ. It's not a big deal, it's just not like you. Maybe I missed the humor and I read it wrong.

It's called "smack talk"... It's fairly common in Fantasy Sports. WTF people?

It's been like that since last year. I figure if an individual player is talented/lucky enough to get a return TD, he should get credit for it. DEF/ST with return TDs count as well.

Most leagues did away with head-to-head loooong ago.

Points are all that matters.

Head-to-head is more fun I think - gets the smack talk going, despite some people being hypersensitive when it's directed at them. whistle But it's also good in that even mediocre teams have a shot with a little luck. tongue wink

(I should stop jinxing myself, because Week 7 looks like my weakest week yet, despite playing Turi... so I should shut up before I embarrass myself lol )

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
