The Jaguars need to redesign their helmets. That's my NFL insight for the week. Why? Do they not have a Jaguar on it? lol I know it's their name, but, ehhhhh, I think they would look better removing the jaguar.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison has not been charged in an April 29 shooting in North Philadelphia, allegedly committed with a gun licensed to him, and a police investigation into the incident remains open. But the alleged victim isn't waiting for the criminal justice system to decide what charges, if any, Harrison should face before seeking his day in court.
The alleged victim, Dwight Dixon, has filed a civil suit against Harrison, claiming that he suffered "serious and permanent injuries … and a severe shock to his nerves and nervous system" as a result of the shooting, which wounded his left hand, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
While Harrison acknowledged to city police detectives that he had been in a fight with Dixon prior to the shooting, he insisted that he had nothing to do with the shooting, sources said, according to the report.
Harrison's attorney, Daniel J. Hart, and his agent, Tom Condon, did not return calls seeking comment, according to the Daily News.
The Colts declined comment on the lawsuit Wednesday.
The lawsuit, filed last month, seeks $100,000 in damages -- and seems designed to go forward regardless of whether Harrison is charged. According to the Daily News, one section of the lawsuit reads: "The defendant intentionally and outrageously shot the plaintiff," and another section of the complaint claims Dixon was shot by someone else using Harrison's gun.
"Look, it's our position that Marvin Harrison was the shooter," said Dixon's attorney, Robert M. Gamburg, according to the Daily News. "But even if you believe the other theory, Marvin's gun was still used in the shooting, so he was negligent for leaving the weapon where someone else could obtain it."
According to the Daily News, sources said Harrison and Dixon had been squabbling for two weeks prior to the shooting, following a disagreement between the two men at Playmakers, a North Philadelphia bar that Harrison owns. Ballistics tests determined that shell casings found at the scene of the shooting matched Harrison's Belgian-made handgun.
Witnesses and Dixon separately identified Harrison as the shooter, sources said, according to the Daily News.
Under Pennsylvania law, Harrison could face misdemeanor charges if police determine his gun was used in the commission of a crime.
ESPN.com NFL writer Paul Kuharsky contributed to this report.

Monday, October 13, 2008 Source: Romo to miss four weeks with broken pinkie ESPN.com
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a broken pinkie on his throwing hand and will be out four weeks, a team source told ESPN's Michael Smith.
Romo initially was diagnosed with a pinkie sprain in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The injury will not require surgery, a member of the Cowboys' medical staff told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley.
Veteran quarterback Brad Johnson, the Cowboys' holder on kicks, is Romo's backup.
The Cowboys have lost two of their last three games after starting the season 3-0. If Romo's absence follows the four-week timeline, he would miss only three games (at St. Louis, home to Tampa Bay, at the New York Giants). Dallas has a bye on Nov. 9, then visits Washington on Nov. 16.

How are most Browns fans taking this season Goombah? I can imagine they have been pushing Quinn for a while now.

How are most Browns fans taking this season Goombah? I can imagine they have been pushing Quinn for a while now. The diehards are on an emotional rollercoaster. Cleveland is, and always will be, a football-first city. The pining for Quinn has been there with the rough start Anderson has had (until yesterday). The louder drum has been calling for the figurative head of Crennel. I am a Quinn advocate for this reason. Anderson is what he is: consistently inconsistent. He can be very good like last night, or he can stink up the joint. You never know from week-to-week or even from one quarter to the next. We do not know what we have in Quinn, other than that both QBs will NOT be on the roster next season. So I say see what the kid Quinn has considering what the team gave up to obtain him. I think he has the football smarts (intangible) to make up for the reduced arm strength when compared to Anderson. I do not mean to imply the Quinn has the weak arm of someone like Chad Pennington. Blibble: How is Raider nation dealing with this season? It seems like the same old/same old again. Is Russell showing glimpses of greatness or of being a bust? It's ironic - the year Cleveland drafted Winslow, the two guys I wanted more were Robert Gallery (complete bust) or Sean Taylor (shooting fatality). Despite Winslow's injuries in the 1st two years of his career, he's a tough-nosed player.

I think Russell was looking good for a guy who is really in his first year, until this last game where they tried to make him throw too much. Lane Kiffin had it right... The running game is so strong that they could ease Russell into things. But Al Davis claims that "He's a great quarterback" so that means the current stooges/coaches are going to do whatever Al wants and that is to throw the ball a lot. It's still too early to tell how good he will be though.

oh, and by the way Longneck, my fantasy team is going to do what Lou couldn't last week, give you a good 'ol fashioned whoopin'! Yeah, you'll give me a whooping like the Raiders did to Nawlins! OH WAIT, THEY DIDN'T THEY LOST HORRIBLY LIKE YOU WILL! ... ...In other news. Colts traded for a DT yesterday. Quiet with the Roy Williams news. Today the DT failed the physical. Colts get their 4th round pick back from the Bills. John McCargo, Former first round pick.
