New York City baseball royalty. All three centerfielders played in NYC at the same time, prompting arguments over who was the best. From left to right: Duke Snider, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays

Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

Secretariat winning the Belmont Stakes by a record 31½ lengths (1973). The greatest race horse I ever saw! I watched an incredible documentary about Secretariat that literally brought tears of amazement to my eyes! I've tried to find that documentary on dvd or vhs or anything but have had no luck. In this documentary, not only were the races out of this world but it focused on some of the stuff away from the track like how they would feed all of the horses and the other horses would wait for Secretariat to eat first before they moved in. Also how Secretariat would seem to pose for cameras when he saw people trying to take pictures of him. If anyone knows where I can get this Secretariat documentary please let me know! I don't think I've ever been so moved than when I watched it on ESPN Classic years back.

My grandfather and the Babe; sport - drinking. Photo taken in Greenwood Lake, NY. You had posted this once before. I said it then, I'll say it again.... What an awesome thing to have in your family album! Babe Ruth (IMO) was one of the biggest names to come out the 20th century in America, and (again IMO) THE biggest name in sports. True baseball royalty. To have a picture of him with a family member, especially one in which he appears genuinely happy to be with that member, is truly wonderful.

I had Secretariat on my list! He was a true champ with great heart and abilities!!!
