Just as a reminder, the consolation playoffs is run bracket-style, with no re-jiggering of seeds even when there are upsets.

In the second round, the winner of 7-14 will face the winner of 10-11, while the winner of 8-13 will face 9-12. If the current scores hold, Turi will face Yogi in the battle of the Brits while Longneck will battle FC.

With 8:23 left in the game, GO only needs 2 points to take the win. Exciting matchup between KL and GO!

What happens if it adjusts and it's a tie? Does Goombah still win because he defeated Klyd in the regular season matchup?

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock is broken using the following system:
  • Most touchdowns scored by entire starting roster. [7 for GO, 3 for KL]
  • Most fantasy points by starting quarterback(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting defensive team(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting defensive player(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting defensive back(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting defensive linemen.
  • Most fantasy points by starting wide receiver(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting running back(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting tight end(s).
  • Most fantasy points by starting kicker(s).

Notes:
  • When breaking a tie in a playoff game, the only statistics used are from that specific game. Cumulative season stats are not considered.
  • All touchdowns scored by the team (passing, rushing, receiving, returns, and defensive) are counted in the playoff tiebreaker. This includes TDs scored by individual offensive players, defensive teams, and individual defensive players (if used).
  • Regular-season head-to-head results are not factored into playoff tiebreakers.
  • Only the touchdown categories used in your league are used to settle ties. If no touchdown categories exist within your league, the tie is settled by quarterback points (assuming the QB position exists).

Congratulations, goombah. The better man won.

I was all set to enter the playoffs in my money league, but was knocked out by a couple of points because Antonio Bryant had 200 receiving yards with 2 tds.

This just wasn't my year.

That was a tough loss KL. Coming into MNF, I knew it would be close since Steve Smith was capable of having a great game. Congrats to Goombah on his comeback.

I'm happy for goombah. This takes a little sting out of the Browns' season. smile

His fantasy team was better than mine all year. It should be an exciting finish. I'll watch from the bleachers.

I am 7-7 in one league, no playoffs. 8-6 in another, no playoffs.

Won a playoff game in my other custom league as #3 seed.

#3 seed in playoffs in a standard Yahoo league.

and then there is this league...

How about a four way tie for first? wink tongue

The playoff aspect of fantasy football is very stressful. I still can't decide a couple of positions and will probably be back-and-forth all the way through Sunday.
