PACMAN WINS!!!!!!!!

Completely dominated DLH. Won every round and made DLH look like a chump. Too fast to agile. DLH should know his time to retire is fast approaching.

Manny Pacquiao is is a fast freakin' badass.

I was rooting for Pacquiao from the start because I've never met a Phillipino who wasn't the nicest person ever. When Pacquiao came to the ring all smiles, when most fighters come out super serious, how could you not like the guy?

I still can't believe how fast he was! I didn't think the fight would be this lopsided!

Oh, by the way, I gave in and bought the fight PPV. I'm broke as mutha.., but hopefully I'll have money by the time the bill is due. rolleyes

DLH looked weak in there too. Manny beat the shit out of him. I had my money on Pacman.

I wonder if he'll fight Hatton?

I work with a lot of Philipino's and Mexican's so there are going to be a lot of 12 packs exchanging hands tomorrow. For some reason everyone at work bets beer instead of money. It works out though!

I did mate.

Manny is awesome. Oscar needs to wrap it in now. Kinda sad to see it end for him in this way but hats off to Manny, what a guy.

Put money on him to fight Hatton at Wembley stadium next year.

Keep your eyes peeled for Carl Froch v Jean Pascal. They fought last night and boy was it a great scrap. Worth watching if you can find it!

I hope it goes ahead. Hatton was there today, I think Manny's display would have shaken him up....just a tiny bit wink

On UK TV Hatton was a guest commentator. He said he wanted the fight and that Oscar should have been pulled out 3 rounds earlier!

Anybody else apart from the Golden boy and they would have been.

He offered nothing did he?

Yeah that wasn't DLH in that ring. He's just a business man now.

Meanwhile, Chris Arreola, who may be America's best hope in the heavyweight division, scored an impressive third round TKO over Travis Walker, who looked to be in much better shape. Walker knocked Arreola down in the first round, but Chris came back very strong. That guy comes to fight!

lol I thought you were going to say that you've changed your minds about Filipinos. tongue

Like Pacquiao, no one is expecting me to win against a fantasy legend like you. You can probably carry a tune too, just like De la Hoya. wink

Indeed he does TB! I have seen a couple of his fights (but not the Walker one yet) and despite looking a bit podgy he has the tools and the heart. The only US heavy worth a damn just now!

I read an interesting article last year on why there's such a dearth of American heavyweight contenders:
The obvious reason is that Americans just aren't hungry enough to put in the pain to be contenders--but the former Soviets, Mexicans, etc., are. But another reason is that there's a tremendous emphasis in all sports on individuals setting records. So, any adolescent or teenager who's big, muscular and shows some athletic prowess is going to be steered into baseball, soccer, hockey, or other team sports that formerly didn't necessarily require players to be physically huge and muscular. Everyone wants new records. That's one of the reasons why steroid doping is such a problem across sports.

What's more, only a small handful of boxers get far enough to make real money, and even the champs get the piss whaled out of them over time. But a team guy can be fair to middling and still have a reasonably long, well-paid career--and keep his brains from being scrambled.

Klitschko took out Rachman in the sixth last night. Vladimir was in excellent shape, and his jabs and rights were sharp. Rachman was never in the fight.

Speaking of having seen better days, I finally caught the tape of PacMan v. Oscar. Geez, talk about dominating: Manny didn't give Oscar a chance. Oscar looked baffled and scared from the opening bell. He ought to call it a day. He's got money, he's a successful promoter, he's still good-looking. Quit while you're ahead, Oscar.
As for Manny: the guy's a phe-nom! No doubt the best pound-for-pound.

Been talking to some of the Filipino lads at work and they say the gossip coming from home is that Manny will not fight Hatton next. They reckon Mayweather wants to come out of retirement and fight him.

Mouthwatering match up that one.

Oscar can promote it lol

Yup!

Manny v Hatton would be a tear up of the highest order!

David Haye to fight Vitali Klitschko at Wembley stadium next June by all accounts.

Haye gets his wish. Now he has to match his words. I think he will.

Superstardom awaits him.

You really do have faith in Haye don't you mate? haha

I like Haye also, Just I don' think he will beat Vitali. I think Haye is a little too chinny. But, I could be wrong.

Personally I hope Haye beats the shit out of both Klitschko's.
