I just saw that last night, it is a really good show
He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!" So what’s the labyrinth? That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

Geezuz. Each to their own I guess.
But seriously, I should report your post, Log Loggy Logg You don't like the show? Nah man I love it. Hence my previous post. Idiot.

I was in Florida for most of December and January, so we drove down to the newly renovated Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach for New Years. We saw them filming BURN NOTICE on location. I haven't seen the show yet, but I'm hoping to catch it on USA this weekend. I agree with Babe. It does look kind of cheesy, but the location shooting will cure your winter blues. I guarantee you that. The Fontainebleau, by the way, is un-fucking-believable. It looks like something that Walt Disney and Howard Hughes might have created over cocktails and blotter acid.
PRETENTIOUS CELEBRITY SIGHTING: We spotted Gwyneth Paltrow at one of the pools. What she was doing there, I have no idea, because she's so anemic and pale looking, she makes Nicole Kidman look like Jennifer Lopez. Anyway, my niece approached her for an autograph and the snotty bitch didn't even have the decency to answer her. She just kept walking and had one of her lackeys blow her off. Pretentious windbag. I wasn't a fan before, so I'm certainly not one now.
Just so you know.

Yeah, that was for me---lol.
I can't believe you guys were down there. We took my Dad because it would have been my parents 50th anniversary in October, had my Mom still been alive. He'd read so much about the renovation that he just wanted to see it. They honeymooned at the Fontainebleau in '58, then in the late '80s bought a place in Sunny Isles, so he was really kind of emotional about it. It was nice though.
Everything south of Hollywood/Hallandale/North Miami Beach is insane though. After five nights there, we couldn't wait to get back to Palm Beach County. Speaking of which, my brother and I leased my Dad a one bedroom in my complex for Christmas. We have an option on it after the season is over, too. He sold his place in Sunny Isles when my Mom died almost seven years ago, but he's happy to be back in Florida. He's down there right now. I'm going back on the 25th. Thank God the cold finally broke up here. One week back and I was miserable. I can't take the cold anymore!

I have been tempted to see the show, but for whatever reason, it just hasn't jumped out at me. It may be good. It seems I tend to choose another channel. I know a few years back USA ran a series called Silk Stalkings which I really just "happened" to watch. Yea, it too was kind of cheesy, but I actually enjoyed it. TIS

Thank God the cold finally broke up here. One week back and I was miserable. I can't take the cold anymore! So, you're back a whole week without posting?? What do you think - that you're Michael back from Sicily and we're Kay?? It was very nice of you to bring the warmer temperatures back with you, however.

First of all I'm glad you are back PB.
The girl who plays Fiona in the show, is that the same girl who danced the tango scene with Pacino in Scent of a Woman? Thanks, Mama. And yes, Gabrielle Anwar, from BURN NOTICE, is the woman that Al Pacino tangoed with in SCENT OF A WOMAN.

Yay, PB's back.
Burn Notice is awesome, I don't care if it's cheesy or not! Thanks, LN. Well, I finally saw the show. I loved it! Yes, it is cheesy. Very cheesy. But in a self mocking way, like the old BATMAN tv series or even THE LOVE BOAT, or more recently, LAS VEGAS. I just ordered the whole first season on dvd through my local library, so I can see the origin of the characters. Fun stuff. Great Florida scenery, too.

I just bought the first season on dvd, it's affordable at $20 most places.

When "Chuck Finley" was being a Crime Scene Investigator and making puns before putting his sunglasses on, just an example of many great moments.
I love Sam Ax! He's the coolest middle-aged guy in Florida (except for me ). I love that "Chuck Finley" alias. I'm gonna use it as a username somewhere online

Have you seen Sons of Anarchy? There's a topic in the other mob movies and shows forum that no one looks at.
I haven't seen it, LN. But I'll check it out on your recommendation.
