A good bullpen will get you double digit points every day. I'm not as happy with my pen as DB seemed to be during his analysis... but we'll see!

I strongly believe that the keys to this game, as evidenced by BL's and JL's recent wins, are timely pick-ups and strong starting pitching.
Agreed, along with a strong bullpen. A good bullpen will get you double digit points every day. You're right. Not only can they earn points, but if you manage to avoid blown save/losses, that's huge. I'm still trying to figure out the usefulness of RP's. I believe they are key to winning but not necessarily in the closer role. I think being on top of the game and riding setup pitchers (holds) while they are on a hot streak can help, just as long as you dump them before they slump. It's tricky. While the top closers are extremely valuable, what are you giving up to draft them? That's the hard part. I'm not sure it's worth it. I have a feeling I will be analyzing that position forever.

Trust me, it's only because Ichiro went down. It was funny the other day when I was checking the SP free agents... I think my entire staff from last year was there!

Oh yeah?? RF Ichiro Suzuki was placed on the disabled list for the first time in his career.... SP Baker has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder stiffness.... RHP John Lackey had his strained forearm evaluated...

I need to get a life. I've been staring at StatTracker all day. That's what I'm going to be doing all day tomorrow. I picked a perfect day to get a one day suspension from my job. Now I get to watch the Giants opener My job is trying to punish me but they did me a favor.
