I know JFK was the only Catholic President(and that was a big deal at the time). While I can't say for sure, I do believe every other President was of a Christian faith. Do you guys think it should matter? TIS

I'm sensing this thread title has a racial tingement to it. If you don't know what I mean, and its clear as day what I mean't, then you better read up on the whole slavery thing. I'm sensing that you're just trying to stir up the shit with your post. I don't see any racial issues in the title or in the thread and I suggest you keep the crap over on your side of the pond.

I did vote for Obama so I can't be against him. I didn't know they let Brits vote in the U.S. elections. You didn't know that SC? Brit citizens were always allowed to vote in U.S. elections. I believe that it was a deal that was made at the conclusion of the Revolutionary war. They now even allow Aussies citizens, South African citizens, Italian citizens, and Middle Eastern citizens to vote in US elections! Thousands of non-citizens, especially Brits, are registered to vote in some states, and tens if not hundreds of thousands in total may be present on the voter rolls nationwide. These numbers are significant: Local elections are often decided by only a handful of votes, and now even INTERnational USA elections are being held. There is now legislation being introduced which would allow citizens of Iraq to vote in U.S. Elections!
Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

To put it another way, Clinton the Baptist regularly went to church while President. Just saying...

Do you guys think it should matter? TIS There is actually doubt about whether Lincoln was a Christian. He frequently attended Presbyterian services with his family. He also was fond of the Bible, but there is debate as to whether he believed in the divinity of Christ. There is virtually no doubt that he believed in God though. There were several 19th century presidents that were nondenominational. Obama is the first president without a particular religious affiliation since Rutherford B. Hayes. I wonder if Hayes had a Rev. Wright he had to run from? The most common religious affiliation among US presidents belongs to the Episcopalians, the last of whom was George H.W. Bush.
