BOLINGBROOK, Ill. - Drew Peterson, a former Illinois police sergeant long suspected in the disappearance of his fourth wife, was arrested Thursday on a murder charge in the death of his third wife.
Peterson, 55, was taken into custody Thursday evening during a traffic stop in Bolingbrook, according to Will County state's attorney's office spokesman Chuck Pelkie. An indictment accuses him of murdering Kathleen Savio.
I just heard this story. Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised. It's hard not to jump to conclusions because the guy is such a jerk (that's not really fair is it? No law against being a jerk), BUT I had a feeling he'd get arrested sooner or later. He always seems so arrogant and cocky to me. Speaking of Peterson, did I hear the other wife-murdering scumbag Scott Peterson is being asked to do some reality show or something? Anyone hear anything about that? How can he do that? TIS

Maybe Blib knows. Isn't Scotty from his neck of the woods in Nothern Cal? We have no murdering scumbags in SoCal. Well, maybe Manson Seriously, I think he's in San Francisco. TIS

TIS Actually, being a jerk in the form of testimony could find its way into a courtroom. Perterson on TV - I don't know about that. I don't think the penal system allows it except as an informational documentary. In any case, it might injure his appeal.

Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

This is mostly for Beth.
Tonight I was at a 50th birthday party for a friend. One of her guests was Glenn Ressler, who played for the Baltimore Colts as a starting left guard in the mid-60s to mid-70s. Now in his 60s he still looked like he could play. I was embarrassed that his name was unfamiliar to me, and even more embarrassed when I learned after the party that he won the 1964 Maxwell Award for the nation's best collegiate football player when he played OL and DL for a young Joe Paterno in Penn State. He was wearing his Super Bowl V ring, but it was interesting to hear him talk about Unitas, Namath, Bubba Smith, Don Shula, Chuck Noll and Vince Lombardi.
Have you heard of him, Beth. He's before your time.

I have just spent a lovely Saturday morning buying new trainers(sneakers) for my 3 boys. I seriously can't think of a more hideous,patience-testing exercise in the world. To cap it off it started raining when we were out and i had no coat on,it being bright and sunny when we left the house!! This afternoon i was going to take the same 3 suspects for hair cuts but i may postpone that till next week-end and drink beer in the house instead "more hideous,patience-testing exercise..."? Try shopping with daughters like I did several times. It doesn't matter - shoes, jeans, dresses, jewelry, even food. It is the ultimate exercise in patience, forebearance, and hopelessness. You commit to maybe an hour and end up spending most of your day.

You commit to maybe an hour and end up spending most of your day. That's how I feel when I go with the Col. to stores like Gander Mountain, Cabela's etc. It's a pain trying to get him out of the store.

My niece went shopping with her mom for her prom gown. No matter how many stores they went to, they couldn't agree on a dress. There were fights, tears, the usual nonsense. They returned from another pointless shopping trip, when my brother grabbed my niece and a book and headed to the mall. He sat on a bench outside Lord and Taylor and told my niece, "I'm going to sit here and read my book. Here's my credit card. The store closes in one hour. Either you come back with a dress before the store closes, or you don't go to prom."
She came back with a beautiful dress, and with 10 minutes to spare, no less.

Luckily for me Nicole was in a wedding the year of her prom. She wore that dress for her prom, so I lucked out bit time. Wait a minute! You actually expect us to believe that you got a teenage girl to wear a USED dress? It would be easier to believe that Michael Corleone only sold olive oil.
