This has been a real old-fashioned spring here... it's been very rainy and gloomy and COOL.... the forecast is pretty much the same for the rest of the week.

I live only 5 miles from where the U.S. Open (golf) will be played next week. Dunno what the weather forecast is next week, but I'm sure the course will be plenty lush from all the rain we've had.

It rained a little today.

A very crappy spring. Last night (1:00 am) we got one of those direct-hit thunder storms. Several blasts were very close: FLASH - BOOM! My wife was all over me in fear, so we took advantage of the moment and had an hour of wild sex. But when I woke up this morning I realized it was a dream....the sex, not the thunder.

The drive home from work last night was an absolute terror. It rained as hard as I've ever seen here in New York. A lot of flooding and almost constant lightning made it look like daytime (which turned out to be a blessing - I was able to see where the roads were flooded).

It came down so hard that the rain was actually going through the door seal and dripping on me.

The walk out to my car (from my office building) was pretty hairy. The really heavy rain hadn't started yet but the lightning was flashing everywhere.... and there I was walking with a metal cane in puddles. Two minutes after I got into the car the heavens OPENED UP.

.....and those roads in Nassau county can hold water like a lake. Can you spell HYDROPLANE?

The Texas summer is starting to kick in. Well in to the 90s all this week and next.

Rained for like a good 3-4 hours straight then quit the sun was out, then it's disappeared. I've heard we have a chance for rain all weekend unless it's changed haven't checked recently.


I've decided on one thing I'm going to start a petition to SKIP summer & fall and go straight to winter. Who'll sign it?

Sorry Ice. Living in the Northeast, I would petition to cut out Jan.1 - March 15. I hate the f'n winter, but I love Christmas.

Not me!! I can't skip Summer. I like Winter but my back don't like the snow.

A gorgeous day in South Jersey. 77 degrees, sunny, breezy. This morning at 7am I was on the Atlantic City boardwalk for a 10 mile bike ride. Perfect weather for it.

Some towns in northern Jersey got pounded by thunderstorms yesterday. One town had 10 inches of hail collect on the streets!! They had to call out the town's snowplows to clear the streets and town's residents were using snow shovels to clear their walks and driveways.

We had a thunder storm last night and it is the same muggy heat today. I don't like it much but at least it is not raining.

We've had an unusually cool and windy spring here in the high desert. And May had more than twice the amount of rain than usual--very welcome. Saving a fortune on electricity because we haven't needed the central air.

Today: partly cloudy, high 78, low 50.
