Actually I think she did pretty well (holding her temper anyway). I agree discrimination is discrimination and should not be tolerated. To her credit, I read (and heard) that she also sided with a white Supremist group in another court case, but don't know that that was even discussed.
If you recall John Roberts (or was it Alito?) hearing, he did the very same thing, avoiding answers. They are coached and are told to avoid certain answers.

This entire process(as it is) is a dog & pony show. EVERYONE knows she'll get approved but the politicians (mainly the NEOS) simply have to get their licks. That's the name of the game. I mean a whole process covering the "wise Latina" comment over and over and over. I don't know how many different answers were expected. You either find her credible or you don't. He is an army reservist who claims he shouldn't have to go to Afghanistan because Obama, not being a citizen, can't order him to do so. The way I understand it, he is a reservist and volunteered anyway. The army isn't sending him and the case was thrown out.

yea well the fire fighters were right about there case...and to that idiot and other idiots who think obama is not a natural born citizen should just stop...look at his birth certificate in hawaii (which is the 49th state). i think if mccain was president they might have a better chance of saying he isn't a natural born citizen (born on a naval air station in the panama).

Did anyone listen to O's address to tne NAACP just now? Started out good, but it ended up being excellent.

He started out acknowledging the 100th anniversary, mentioning some heros (some of which I didn't know) and of course the hardships the Black went through. All appropriate for the occasion.

Then he really pushed on education saying to the crowd, "you tell your kids that, if you live in a bad area that yes, you will have obstacles that those who don't live in that area will have, BUT living in a bad area does not mean you can't go to school, or you can't learn or get get good grades. He went on to say your destiny is in your hands. I'm kind of paraphrasing, but it was a really really good address in which he didn't hold back but knew how to approach this subject, with this crowd in just the right way.
