SC and DC: Do you know where the Bamboo Lounge was in Canarsie? I lived in Canarsie from '66 to '69, but I don't remember it.
Whenever I read or hear about those "historic" neighborhoods or cities of NY and NJ, I can't help but think about a part of one of George Carlin's routines.
Remember the Lark cigarette commerical of the 60s or70s(?) where they would drive around yelling to people "Show us your Larks." Well George would say "They ought to take that Lark thing to the Bowery. Those guys would show ya their larks."
