Not too hot (at least for me), around 90 degrees and nice and sunny!! One "good" thing about California (SoCal anyway) you can nearly "always" plan a BBQ or picnic in the summer and chances of a bad day are nil to none. From roughly July 1 to September 30, we can expect some rain and/or thunder/lightning every day. Monsoons are very important in this arid country, where water is an obsession. But there's a downside: lightning sets off wildfires (which can spread to thousands of acres in no time), and if the monsoons are especially heavy, more weeds will grow that become fodder for those wildfires. Can't tell you how many years it's been since I've been swimming. It was 97 today and according the the forecast will remain in the high 90's and possible triple digits. I had to drive out to Temecula (which is always hotter) and it was 104 degrees. I don't mind the heat, but even I have turned my air on the last couple days.
