One near my home, two near my work that I checked. But there are easily dozen more supercenters that I can go to. Dallas has ridiculously high numbers of walmart, staples, office depot, jc penney, kroger, fry's etc. All the big chains have something here.

We have a Wal-Mart 10 minutes away and another about 20 minutes away. Both are Superstores.

Walmart wanted to buy the land where my church is, which sees a high volume of traffic. The church was seeking to move a mile away because it needs more room for its school, church building (It's a growing congregation) and gymnasium and multi-purpose center. Walmart agreed not only to pay fair market value for the property, but they also agreed to build state-of-the-art facilities for the church elsewhere.

Our local board of supervisors, which included owners of a grocery store and hardware store within a stone's throw of the church, denied Wal-Mart permission to build, so the deal fell through.

Our local ASDA(Wal-mart) is only 5 minutes drive away. However the other 3 big UK supertstore chains Tesco,Morrisons & Sainsburys are also only 5 minutes drive away,in other directions.

Plenty of choice!

Great! I made them again last night. I put a little garlic powder in the taco seasoning.

Mig, we have a few Bruster's in our area. It's the only ice cream spot I know that has a line waiting out the door...when it's 3 degrees outside. They have an excellent Almond Joy soft serve.

I haven't had a decent piece of watermelon yet this summer. Is that too much to ask? Some nice, sweet, juicy, deep red watermelon by July?

It must have something to do with this cool spring/summer we have going on.

I don't mind watermelon, but prefer cantaloupe (or musk melon as we called it when I was a kid). It is refreshing on a hot day. smile

There is a really good Hawaiian Barbecue place near my house that has great food. I just tried a new item on their menu called Spam Musubi. Anyone else had it? It doesn't sound good, but it is tasty! I never thought Spam could be so good. It is a piece of fried spam on top of rice wrapped in seaweed, with a little bit of their Hawaiian barbecue sauce (which is sort of like soy sauce, but not as strong).

And I finally got lucky with watermelon today. At Pathmark, of all places. Nice and sweet and juicy. But I'll tell ya, those pre-cut chunks sold in little bowls really are some racket.

That spam/sushi thing does look like one of those old erasers. I'll bet it's tasty, though.

Yeah, but at least the watermelon is moist.
