SB is a post count whore. She could have at least tried to re-word it(3 different times) so it wasn't so obvious. TIS

Okay, should be good now. Not SB's fault Thanks, TIS!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

I do believe that Latin is the wave of the future. You just love when Josiah Bartlett speaks it.

Aug. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Swine flu may infect half the U.S. population this year, hospitalize 1.8 million patients and lead to as many as 90,000 deaths, more than twice the number killed in a typical seasonal flu, White House advisers said.
In a report by the Presidentโs Council of Advisers on Science and Technology, President Barack Obama today was urged to speed vaccine production and name a senior member of the White House staff, preferably the homeland security adviser, to take responsibility for decision-making on the pandemic. Initial doses should be accelerated to mid-September to vaccinate as many as 40 million people, the advisory group said.
Seasonal flu usually kills about 36,000 Americans, said Tom Skinner, a spokesman for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Swine flu, also called H1N1, causes more severe illness needing hospitalization among younger people than seasonal flu, while leaving people 65 and older relatively unscathed, said Mike Shaw of the CDC.

I am getting things prepared for School (I am doing Vertical School this year) and it has been hectic getting my classes scheduled (starts the 31st) I am really excited though, because in "School" School I could only take German, Spanish, or French; But in Virtual School I can take Latin (which I have always wanted to take. Be practical, Santino. What are you going to do with Latin in the real world? You'd be much better off taking a Spanish course (it'll help in the future). That is quite true... I must ponder I'd highly recommend Latin to any student. Believe it or not, I find that Latin was actually the most useful class that I took in high school. Studying Latin helps you understand English grammar and useage more clearly. It also helps with your English vocabulary. At the time I studied Latin (2 years), I didn't appreciate it, but I realized that it improved my writing immensely.

You know how CNN's home page always has a daily poll? Here's today's. How come I didn't know Pluto was not a planet any longer? Science is not my strong point, but everyone knows Pluto is a planet (the smallest one if I'm not mistaken.) Should Pluto be reinstated as a planet?

Back to Latin. Anyone that went to Catholic School in the 50's 60's will know these (my spelling is a little rusty) Angus Dei (Lamb of God?) Kyrie Eleison Kyrie Eleison Eleison, Christi Eleison Dominus Vobiscum (answered by etcum spirititua) We had to go to mass every morning and we'd answer the Priest and sing the hymns (always off key). Our prayer books had all the mass in Latin. As time went on, one side of the page was Latin and one in English, until they got rid of the Latin altogether. If the Priest walked in the class room, we'd all have to stand and say, "Good morning Father." That's the only place I used Latin. TIS

That's the only place I used Latin. I once used the term "carpe diem" and got paid 25ยข for it. I call that my Latin Quarter.
