Because I want to get the spots filled up ASAP, I've gone to one back-up already and would like to fill the final spot by Saturday night so I can go ahead and set the draft order. If it's not filled by one of you two by Saturday night, I'll open up the spot to everyone.

I understand that you guys are probably busy/on summer vacation/etc. and haven't had time to join, but if you're still interested, please join ASAP. First to get there gets the spot.

Thanks.

This spot was opened up on Saturday night and filled by a person who's been asking me for 3 years now to be part of our league - my wife (Prufrock's Prophets). Like my sis-in-law, my wife is a huge football fan (she likes to watch games more than I do), but it will be her first time playing fantasy football. She has vowed to kick my butt.

Do you spend time watching football? A man who doesn't spend as much time as his wife watching football can never be a true man. wink

I'm gonna autodraft as well -- see what the NFL Gods have in store for me this season. whistle I haven't done one lick of prep anyway, plus I won't be home, which is good enough reason I guess. lol

This is the 1st year Yahoo is providing Stat Tracker for free. Does it constantly update your players scores? I'm using it in my non-BB league, too.

It provides real-time scoring updates (if Yahoo hasn't changed it from years past).

With all the no-shows, we had a relatively quick draft (about an hour).

Good luck this year, everyone!

Just saw my auto-drafted team... Not horrible, but I don't feel as comfortable as I did after live drafting last year.

Who wants to start trading? Bam? Longneck? wink

My team would be unbeatable, if it were 2 years ago. I need to hope some of my players have something left in theirs tanks. lol

....And I'm surprised that in a 14 team league I have two top 10 QB's.

I was pleased to get Aaron Rodgers in the autodraft. I have had far worse teams in the past with autodraft. I saw that Brady Quinn is my backup QB. eek Maybe Yahoo was given the scoop by Mangini as to who the Browns starter will be because it still has not been made public. lol

I was only surprised about your T.O. pick because I remember you hated him. wink

No, I wasn't drinking (that much)........ there was a guy a few years ago who I beat in the finals who used to get pissed off every time I asked for score updates.

More importantly, do the Vikings even care? lol Somebody needs to break the news to Mangini that this is not a competition between Joe Montana and Steve Young. Not even Hanna Montana or Mighty Joe Young. tongue

14 Things I Think I Think (ala Peter King)

LN - LN's team looks pretty decent. He'll have to rely on Schaub staying injury free.

DM - Which Portis will DM get - the 1st half freight train or the 2nd half choo choo? With Kevin Smith as his 3rd RB, the two-time champion looks to be a force yet again.

KF - New to the league. Selected Eddie Royal way too early. Hopes Fast Willie remains healthy this year.

BA - Daaaa Bears. Early Cutler pick could define season. Strong at WR if DeSean Jackson comes back stronger this year.

PP - Also new to the league. RBs a little scary because both are in time-shares. Hopes Randy Moss has Brady bump.

BL - For an auto-draft, team looks pretty good. Aging Kurt Warner (I think that's his official name now) is key to team.

JG - Hopes Braylon Edwards is able to get rid of the drops. Hasselbeck good value for where JG picked him. I dislike Ronnie Brown (had him last year).

JD - Wanted Brady and Johnson. Got Brady and Johnson. Beanie Wells a high risk/high reward player. Is McFadden the next Reggie Bush (talented but injury prone) or Adrian Peterson?

GO - Good players across the board. Pretty good auto-draft. Usually a tough matchup and this year will be no different.

IM - Welcome back to the league. Questions at RB - will J-Stewart stay healthy? Will Tashard Choice get carries? Great late-round pick of Cadillac Williams.

DB - Didn't like his selections in the middle rounds. Overall, an OK draft.

YO - Selected favorite player Drew Brees with first pick. Disaster 2nd pick when he mixed up Steve Smith (WR - CAR) with Steve Smith (WR - NYG). For Yogi's sake, I hope the New York-version turns into Plaxico-light (sans the gun).

JL - Solid all around. QB depth provides trade bait for later in the year. I have a feeling Ochocinco has a better year than T.O.

BB - Once Lynch comes back from suspension, he arguably has the best 3 RB set of anyone in the league. Hopes Calvin Johnson's stats don't drop with rookie QB.

Glad to see Yogi didn't make the same mistake with Roy Williams or the other Adrian Peterson! wink
