Well today I finally became a father. Tatum, was born at 9pm, on the 29th of the 9th, 2009!! (See a pattern here?)
Mia's labor began at around 5am, so it was a long day. She decided to go ahead with an Epidural which seemed to work wonders because as soon as the "pushing" part of the birth began, Mia seemed to be pushing quite effortlessly without making any noise whatsoever!! ( No Scientology) As I saw my daughter finally come out, I couldn't help but shed a few tears. The relief was fantastic. Tatum barely cried, began feeding automatically and has been quite active, looking around and remaining calm etc. I couldn't have asked for a better start to fatherhood. Cutting the umbilical chord was asurprise as blood and other shit sprayed all over me. There we're some truly intense moments where I thought I was gonna have a panic attack, But the stress subsided.
I am thrilled. I'll post some pics etc soon.

Whisper, what fantastic news. How much does Tatum weigh? I'll tell you, there is nothing like little girls. Truly sugar and spice and EVERYTHING nice. My very best to you, Mia and Tatum. A new beginning (and journey) for all. Please do post a picture when you can. I love little babies. TIS

TIS, Tatum weighed a bit over 8 pounds ( Bit over 3 Kilograms)
Olivant, hahaha, I'm not looking forward to some of those moments.
Hopefully post some pics soon.

Whisper! Man! I am so happy for you and Mia Enjoy every moment, Capiche?
He - (Simón BolÃvar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!" So what’s the labyrinth? That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

Thanks for the congratulations.
Words cannot explain how I feel right now. I'm beyong cloud nine. The bond is so pure, so automatic, so surreal. I have never been more proud , or in love ever. After all the fucked up shit I've done and been through, I almost feel like I don't deserve such a blessing. I'm so friggin' happy.
It even brought my Dad out from hiding. ( I hadn't seen him in 21 years) Nothing comes close to being a father. Nothing. Puts everything in perspective.
Wait till you guys see the pics. Beautiful!!!!

Enjoy now because before you know it, you, your wife, and your daughter will be exchanging phrases such as:
"She obviously takes after your side of the family."
"Are you sure we brought home the right baby?"
"... but his car doesn't even have a hood on it."
"No, it's not because the teacher doesn't like you."
"Do you realize young lady that it's 2 in the morning?"
"If Misty Watkins jumped off a bridge, would you jump off too?"
"Honey, sit down. Tatum has something to tell you." ... and one other: "Dad, here, hold your grandchild."
"Generosity. That was my first mistake." "Experience must be our only guide; reason may mislead us." "Instagram is Twitter for people who can't read."

Whisper, I sense the emotion in your post and surely, as a parent myself, know exactly how you feel. And even your father came out of hiding? Wonderful. Tatum already seems to have a loving family. Stay close, take care of her and love her, which, as you know, comes very easily. I too am looking forward to seeing pictures of the little bundle. TIS

Sincerest congrats, Whisper! Like everyone else, I can't wait to see some photos! Signor V.

Once again thanks for all the well wishes. Replies like this remind me of what a great board we have here.
I keep forgetting to load the pics onto a USB from Mia's computer and put them onto mine. Will soon.
It's been a good first four days. The breastfeeding can get a little tricky for them, But she seems to be getting enough colostrum/Milk. No word of a lie, when she's crying/screaming!!! I'm the only one who she stops crying for when I pick her up haha. It's my deep voice I reckon. She's also starting to realize it's nicer sleeping with Mummy and Daddy as opposed to her crib haha she won't have a bar of it.
I feel sorry for Mia's breasts though, they're looking pretty messed up and sore. She;s hoping to start expressing the milk soon.
But all in all, I'm extremely proud and full of joy and pride. I knew I'd bond with her, But never knew how much. It kinda sucks that I have to go on tour soon around the country to promote my new album. I worked so hard getting this album out and now it's like I'd rather be saying "shhh shhh shhh" to a crying baby. haha

Ahhh, how nice Whisper. I see the "Daddy's Girl" syndrome has taken hold. It's a whole new ballgame isnt it? Hold her, love her, enjoy each phase of her life. Best wishes always TIS
