Wow.... take care of yourself and the boy!!

My back fence is fixed and our passage/hall way is nearly done with the new wallpaper. I have been a busy bee indeed!

It must have something to do with playing baseball,because my son, J, was diagnosed with Swine Flu this morning. but at least my knee's okay. Get well, Blibble, to you and your boy.

My son isn't in major discomfort, and has asked that I still take him to the ballfields for BP and long toss.

Blib, as someone who just completed rehab from her second knee surgery (one on each, just to be fair!), you have my complete and total sympathy.

I guess when it rains, it pours. In addition to swine flu, my son now has pneumonia. He feels okay, and enjoys being waited on. I'm bringing him his new favorite lunch, the Arby's French Dip Combo.

I'm afraid of clowns.

I know several people, who are afraid of clowns, and never really understood what there was to be afraid of. Now I have a fear of heights.

Klyd, my understanding is that swine attacks the lower portion of the lungs, which is why respiratory problems seem to come along with it so often. Poor thing. Tell him to keep drinking fluids and try to get him to sit up as much as possible.

Oh, and clowns are horrible.

Unless their father takes them, my kids know better than to ask me to go to the circus. Not a chance. I think that's why John Wayne Gacy stuff scares me, too. And Stephen King must have latched on to something because he played on clown phobia in his book "It".

I have a good clown story.

I was representing a guy for DUI, who claimed to be as sober as a judge after he drove his car down an embankment. He was rescued by the driver of the car behind him. At the scene he was explaining it all to the police, who asked him to describe the rescuer. The guy said he was just an average looking male, who helped him and then had to leave.

It turns out the rescuer was Spoony the Clown, who was in a hurry to attend a kid's party, and was wearing the makeup, rainbow wig, rubber nose and polka dot costume.

I will never live down my clown phobia. My mom took me to Madison Square Garden when I was a kid to see the Ringling Brothers circus. I was so terrified of the clowns that I hid under my seat and played with the little red flashlight she had bought me the entire time. I'm surprised she didn't beat the crap out of me.

One word: Pennywise.

My nephew will randomly call and/or text me saying, "We all float down here!"

"Under The Dome" comes out November 10th. It will be King's longest novel ever (and that's saying something). It's described as apocalyptic, very much in the same vein as "The Stand." I can't wait!

He IS one of the creepiest clowns in cinema history I'm sure.

I remember my kids had a fear of clowns after the Poltergeist movie. They had a clown doll in their room that had to move out right after they say that movie. Til this day, they do are not thrilled with clowns.

The Polanski thread reminded me of one time I couldn't keep a straight face. A client of mine was being sentenced long ago for statutory rape in a case where he thought the girl was of age. After sentencing was announced, the judge asked him whether he learned anything about himself as a result of the episode. he said, "I sure did, your Honor. Next time I'm checking IDs."

A mistrial has been declared in the extortion case involving John Travolta.
