Yes. The documentary is interesting. The Diaries are 30 minute vignettes taken from Treadwell's camera.

I see they are making another "Wall Street." Believe it or not, I never saw the first one. I don't know why, but just never did. ohwell Maybe I wasn't interested in it then, but I am now. I hope they show it (or I'll rent it) before the new one. smile

Btw, Michael Douglas is back in the new one, but don't know about the rest of the cast.

TIS, do yourself a favor and rent the movie. It's a truly gritty portrayal of the greed that overtook us in the '70s and '80s. Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas were absolutely wonderful in their respective roles.

Rumors swirl as NBC says Leno not canceled Jan. 7, 2010, 6:13 PM EST
TheWrap.com

Following denials by NBC executives that "The Jay Leno Show" had been canceled (after rumors first appeared that it had), TMZ.com is now reporting that after the show's Olympics hiatus on Feb. 1, it will move back to the 11:30 p.m. time slot. Citing sources it does not name, the report says it's not clear whether Jay's show, would be a half-hour lead-in to Conan O'Brien, or a full hour -- presumably sending O'Brien to the curb.

If any such a decision has really been made, it would be a complete surprise to the camp of O'Brien, who currently occupies the 11:30 slot, according to a person close to the situation who spoke to TheWrap.

I didn't particularly like Jay's show at first, but it's grown on me.

Like with Johnny Carson, I don't watch all the time, but it was always nice to have him there. smile I like Jay and hope he goes back to late night, if that's what works for him. I really don't mind Conan either though.

Last I heard, they were talking of giving Leno an 11:30 - 12:05 show and THEN Conan will follow. All speculation though I think.

Report: NBC giving Conan an ultimatum Jan. 8, 2010, 1:24 PM EST
MSN Entertainment

After TMZ.com reported on Thursday that Jay Leno would be moving back to the 11:30 p.m. time slot on NBC, the site is now reporting that NBC executives have told Conan O'Brien -- who currently holds that time slot -- that he now has a choice: He can move to the midnight to 1 a.m. time slot, or he can leave the network.

TMZ is also reporting that Conan has not decided what he wants to do, but that he and his people are considering the offer. The report also indicates that if Conan does in fact take the midnight time slot, Leno's show would only be a half hour long. However, if Conan leaves the network, Leno would get a full hour of programming.

That's a disgraceful way to to treat O'Brien, a 16 year employee. I'm not even a fan of his, but that's just wrong. And I have to say, if Leno is in on the negotiations (which I'm CERTAIN he is), then he turned out to be a bum, too. I'll stick with Letterman, thank you very much.

To me, it sounds like the network wants Leno and might be trying to squeeze Conan out. I like them both, but would still go with Leno.

What's funny is, none of these late night shows are a half hour only are they? confused

Report: O'Brien not keen on NBC plan -- but what about Fox? Jan. 8, 2010, 6:59 PM EST by Josef Adalian TheWrap.com

Fox has a message for Team Conan: If NBC doesn't want you, we might be open to a deal.

And if the latest reports are true, O'Brien might be interested. The New York Times Friday indicated that O'Brien's camp isn't interested in what NBC is currently offering.

"Representatives of Mr. O'Brien made it clear the comedian has not accepted NBC's plan and was likely not to agree any time in the near future," the paper noted in a post on its Media Decoder blog.

That would be perfect. I hate to see Leno go but also think it's not real fair to Conan. I like them both, so that would be perfect. But then, who cares what I think? lol

If Conan goes to FOX, then they'll be rivals, assuming they both have the same time slot.

Meaning that Conan and Leno will split the NBC viewers, making Letterman the clear winner. The Ross Perot Effect lol.

If Conan goes to Fox at midnight, it'll get real interesting there when it comes to programming. Conan will follow (I guess) O'Reilly's 11PM (EST) rerun. That will give Conan a tremendous lead-in audience for his 12midnight show, but still less than Letterman's which typically pulls in about 5 million viewers (plus, he starts at 11:30). But to do that Fox will have to eschew Greta's midnight rerun. Yes, it will be interesting.

Oli,

I thought they were talking channel 11 FOX, not the cable fox (O'Reilly and the political channel). They are affiliated, I know, but two separate channels. confused At least here, they call it Fox.

The same network "24" is on.

I know TIS, but there are Fox affiliates that broadcast O'Reilly also.

Republican or not, how can anyone give credence to anything this woman says? I've never seen anyone embody The Peter Principle so profoundly. She has failed upwards by being attractive and glib. How can anyone admire her?

Sarah "Can I call you Joe?" Palin is the biggest joke in politics today. It's fitting that Fox News will be hiring her.

Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.
