Case in point: For the last several weeks, I've been singing backup vocals with a Beatles tribute band in NYC. (Hear that, TIS?) Just stumbled into it, actually. They are quite good. They're called The Meetles and there are some videos of them posted on YouTube (I don't think I'm visible in any of them, though - but I might be wrong.)
We're all happily middle-aged; most are in their fifties, but one fellow from Japan is quite a bit younger. But the music sounds great, I have to admit. We play Fridays through Sundays in the larger NYC subway stations as part of the city's Music Underground program. Not sure where this all will lead - if anywhere. But so far, on the whole, it's been a lot of fun. I haven't done any public singing in over thirty years! (With good reason!)
Guess the world is full of surprises.

I wonder who that good looking guy is on drums?

Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.
