Hey Plaw, This is my first post in the forum after 2 years of absence. I feel so guilty for not writing in the longest, and surely my next post will be a big hello in another thread, but I just wanted to stop here first and let you know that as thrilled as I am to chat again with all the great members here, it also bothers me to know that you will not be posting as well. I've been here long enough to see you join this forum, and long enough to see you slippin down that horrid slope. But that time in between was no less than a privilege. I just miss you Plaw...always will

Rest in peace, plawrence.
It's been a while since I've been to this forum and I was greatly saddened to hear of your passing. Looking back at some old posts I started to recall all the great conversations we had about many things, including both of our love for poker. I just wanted to pay my respects to a great forum member and I hope he wasn't in too much pain.
Rest in peace, plawrence.

I joined in 2005 and wasn't a big poster and reader in the last few years of his life. I don't know anything about PLawrence other than he posted some great stuff and everyone that knew him loved him and that's he a Legend here on GangsterBB. Can you tell me a little about him? Family life, What restaurants he like to eat at, what books he liked to read, music, etc. Thank you
You know, we always called each other good fellas. Like you said to, uh, somebody, :You're gonna like this guy. He's all right. He's a good fella. He's one of us.: You understand? We were good fellas.

MC, That is great! Nice job! I swear PLaw mentioned he was a Woodstock. It just seems we had the conversation at one time on the BB. Regardless, I'm sure he is looking down smiling at such a nice tribute. TIS

That was very powerful, MC. I especially like this video of a young Stephen Stills and Buffalo Springfield, which I posted in Afsaneh's shout-out thread after the Iranian revolutions broke out. In this performance David Crosby was invited by Stills to stand in for the absent Neil Young, and it was shortly thereafter that Crosby, Stills & Nash was formed. You did really good by both he and Plaw with that tribute!

Grade-A, MC! Take a bow! Wow, do we have talent here! Paul definitely would have appreciated that, MC. He was a man of taste. He showed it in his choice of restaurants, food and wine, in the way his condo was decorated--and in his demeanor. The last time all of us had dinner together, Paul asked if I could bring a Sixties Bordeaux from my collection. I brought a '66 Chateau Latour, and we all shared it. That was the last time I saw him.

3 years ago today, and still (and always) missed.
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

I never knew you Plaw, but from what I heard, I wish I had.
He - (Simón BolÃvar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!" So what’s the labyrinth? That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

Though Lord knows Plaw & I did not get along on the Board...(thanks in large part to my obstinate attitude because he did try)...I'll always recall his jovial, easygoing and friendly demeanor at the one BB dinner in which I took part (just about 4 years ago). Plawrence, while your close friends on the BB suffered a far greater loss than I did...I do salute you & your memory for the legacy you've left. It is a testament to you that your presence will ALWAYS be felt on the Gangster BB!! Apple

Didn't P. Law publish a "Night Before Christmas" poem about The Godfather? If so, I wish one of the moderators could find it and put it up for the season. Yes he id DT. I see it's on the 2nd or 3rd page or so of this thread, but when I click to open it, the link is dead. Anyway, that is a great poem. Good enough to be published if you ask me. He was a master of words, let alone a GF Christmas poem. TIS
