Oh no!!! That's too bad. He play such a great bad guy! He'll always be an "Easy Rider" though as far as I'm concerned. I hope he beats it!!! TIS

Damn, its not going to be as much fun bombing buses without him. RR, Call me daffy but Speed is one of my favorite movies, largely in part because of Hopper's performance. He's a wonderful bad guy. I don't own many movies but that one I'd like to own. TIS

If you wanna see Hopper as the bad guy, check out Blue Velvet, which is coincidentally playing at my local arthouse Monday night. I don't see that many movies, but his performance in this one made my jaw drop. I think Dennis hopper is as versatile an actor out there and he can hit levels of "weird" and "freaky" that others can't imagine. Ha ha ha...Isn't that the truth? Kly, that's a perfect way to put it. Oli, I read that the other day, but it was an Enquirer story and I wasn't sure how credible it was. Too bad. It seems to have spread so quickly (at least from the time we found out about it.) TIS

Well this is interesting (keep in mind this is the National Enquirer though): Apparently Hopper as filed for a divorce on his death bed. If true, I would think it's an obvious attempt to NOT include his wife in the will. Yet, a family friend is quoted as saying he's " mentally incapacitated" from the drugs. Sounds like an easy out for the wife to say he didn't know what he was doing. California is community property and always a 50/50 split. I'm not sure how this would help Hopper since they were married for a long time. I "think" she'd be entitled to half of everything he earned from the time of the marriage. Btw, remember his 8 day marriage to Michelle Phillips? I think the shortest in U.S. history. TIS http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/67978

Well, I know his cancer is terminal, but evidently he is not in the hospital. He was appeared to receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. He looks frail and sickly though. TIS http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100326/ap_on_en_mo/us_people_dennis_hopper
