I was just watching some music award rubbish on the TV and there was Jermaine Jackson picking up an award on his late brothers behalf. Jermaine even bought his 3 kids along. Jerfar, JerMajesty and er Jeremy......

I feel so bad for certain celebrity children. I admire people like Jodie Foster who does her best to keep her children out of the public eye. She's never even gone public with who fathered them!

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick also do a nice job with their kids. They know they'll grow up in the spotlight, but they do their best to limit it.

Sarah Jessica Parker was on a chat show over here just before Christmas,last year,promoting her new film and i must admit she came over as quite.....er....normal.

She seemed very pleasant and was actually very funny!

I called and spoke w/ the Dr and she said it's not unusual, and to give the new antibiotics a day or two to kick in. The Vicoprofen (+ 2 Advils) seem to be helping with the pain, though. I didn't want to take it last night because I didn't know how I'd react to it, and didn't wanna fall asleep like that.

And you bought that "explanation"???

Geoff, I REALLY don't wanna even joke about you being in pain. I sure hope she is right and you get relief soon.

SC, this is the same Dr who said she was in tears the last time I was in because she inflicted "so much pain" on me -- she even called me from home that evening to make sure I was okay. She really does care, so I'm buying her explanation for now. The meds seem to work okay. She wouldn't have prescribed a narcotic if I was going to be relatively pain free.

Just would be nice if I could eat something more solid than soup...

I hope you feel better soon. As someone who probably has had every kind of dental work done, including oral surgery, I know the discomfort you speak of. I recently paid over $4,000 out of pocket for two dental implants. I think after my surgeries they put me on Vicodin?????? (I never take medication so am not familiar with most). It worked well for me.

well i have to have casts on to 'stretch' my achilles, so i can be able to use braces. if they don't work then surgery.

WASHINGTON - In a landmark ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday struck down laws that banned corporations from using their own money to support or oppose candidates for public office.

By 5-4 vote, the court overturned federal laws, in effect for decades, that prevented corporations from using their profits to buy political campaign ads. The decision, which almost certainly will also allow labor unions to participate more freely in campaigns, threatens similar limits imposed by 24 states.

It leaves in place a ban prohibiting corporations and unions from directly contributing funds to candidates for any use.
