Court documents in Alaska show Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is seeking child support from her ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston. CNN said Friday that Bristol Palin, 19, is seeking child support payments from Johnston in the amount of $1,750 a month for the care of their 1-year-old son Tripp. I wonder how she came at that dollar amount? I don't know how it works in Alaska, but here in CA there's a formula they use taking into account both parties wages, children and the length of the marriage. Of course Levi and Bristol were never married, but for sure he'll still owe child support. He was on Entertainment tonight or one of those shows just last week, and claims he's paid her about 40,000 all together so far. I don't know if it's true or not, but that's what he said.  I do know he made something like 100,000 for posing in playboy. I'm sure he'll have to share profit. TIS That's correct. I read that in Alaska the non-custodial parent must pay 20% of his income up to $105K/yr. So 20% of $105K is $1750/mth.

I like it. It's an incentive, not a demand, unlike the demands that Mayor Bloomberg is making here in New York with his crusade against salt and fat. Why do bad things happen in three's?
1.This morning we got a text saying my Sister-in-Law got admitted to the hospiital with an irregular heartbeat.
2. Recieved a call that my Daughter stepped on a piece of metal and had to go to an urgent care clinic cuz it was pouring the blood.
3. Recieved a call that my son got a piece of metal in his eye today at work and had to go to the urgent care clinic to get it out.
I don't feel like answering the phone the rest of the day. I just got home from the emergency room, for the third time in a day and a half. I think you're right. Threes.

Hope things settle down, Mig and Blib!
My mom's getting her heart valve surgery tomorrow so I hope it's not #3. Thankfully they didn't see a need to do any further bypasses so I hope it goes smoothly. Still a bit worried since she's 80 and all. Going up to the hospital soon for a few days, but will check in from time to time. Please keep her in your prayers....

There are few things lower than a man who cheats wife This is a view very common in the U.S., and with all due respect, I think we as a society need to grow up. So someone promises never to have sex with someone else for the rest of their life and doesn't keep that promise. So what? It's unreasonable to expect people to keep a promise like that to begin with. If we're going to view marital fidelity as an essential quality in a person, then we'd have to conclude that Martin Luther King, FDR, and JFK were unacceptable. And there's no reason why someone can't be a poor spouse or parent and be an excellent president, prime minister etc. I think the prevailing attitude on this issue (in this country at least) is stupid and childish.

Vito, I've been married for 23 years. I understand that anything can happen. We're simply human.
However, a man who would cheat on his wife and father a child with his mistress is more than someone who simply faltered. It means that he had unprotected sex in a day when AIDS is a reality. It means that he not only was fucking someone besides his wife, it means that he didn't give a shit if he brought home some disease.
And, yes. It IS a big deal. Because it's a PROMISE. You get married, you take a vow. You PROMISE to forsake all others until death. If you don't intend to keep the promise, don't get married.
And nobody said that a scumbag can't make a great CEO or President. I think that most powerful people are selfish, self-centered and ruthless. That's how they achieved positions of power.
Edit: And once again, calling someone's view "stupid" by adding the phrase "with all due respect" doesn't negate the nastiness of the word stupid. It just puts a pretty bow on it.

It depends on what the promise is. I don't think this is one of the things that is. As far as vows, most people also promise to be together with their spouse for the rest of their lives. No one seems to condemn them for breaking this promise if they divorce their spouse later.
