ST. LOUIS – A man with an assault rifle walked into a business Thursday and shot at least three people, police said. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The shooting occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the ABB Power plant on the city's north side and two hours later, police believed the gunman was still in the building. Details about the victims were not immediately known.

They are the first line of defense in airport security but two troubling incidents involving TSA agents at LAX are raising concerns.

A TSA agent was arrested on January 3rd in Terminal One at LAX, a source told NBCLA. He had just gotten off duty and was behaving erratically, saying, "I am god, I’m in charge." The agent was arrested.

Meanwhile, a TSA Internal Affairs investigation turned up evidence of LAX TSA agents using drugs at an after-hours party.

TSA officials say a videotape of the party was of poor quality and the employees were not in uniform, but 4 employees were tentatively identified.

All 4 were tested for drugs. One came back positive and that employee was fired.

Police said the gunman, identified as 51-year-old Timothy Hendron of Webster Groves, a St. Louis suburb, showed up at Swiss-based ABB Group's sprawling plant around 6:30 a.m., armed with an assault rifle and a handgun.

The motive for the shooting wasn't immediately known. But in 2006, Hendron and other ABB workers sued the company over retirement losses. The federal lawsuit accused ABB and its pension-review committee of causing their 401(k) accounts to include investment options with "unreasonable and excessive" – and undisclosed – fees and expenses. The suit went to trial Tuesday in Kansas City.

Willie Mitchell just passed away. He was a true giant of soul and early rock-n-roll music. He was the primary producer for such stars as Al Green (who he "discovered"), Ann Peebles and OV Wright. Willie Mitchell worked at Hi Records, which he later owned. Although Hi Records was not quite as well known as its fellow Memphis competitor Stax, in reality there wasn't that much of a rivalry as Hi and Stax shared some of the same session musicians and style. Most famously, Al Jackson, the drummer for Booker T and the MG's, would go work evenings at Hi Records after he finished his day work at Stax. As much as anyone, Mitchell defined the Memphis sound.

Don't know but they are fun to shoot.

Mig, how do you, in good conscience, weigh "fun to shoot," against kids walking on to college campuses with these weapons and slaughtering people younger than your daughter?

I don't want to see your hunting weapons taken away. Nor do I want to deny someone the right to protect his home. But there is not ONE SOLITARY REASON why John Q. Citizen should be allowed to own an assault weapon. Especially if his reasoning is that it's "fun to shoot."

Okay, I know nothing about weapons, but what exactly constitutes "assault" weapons. A machine gun? Or I'm guessing some kind of military guns?? And WHAT exactly would be one's purpose to have one of these? You don't hunt with a machine gun.
