Oh, and I hope I still consider myself lucky that Lincecum was still available at the 10th pick

Bedroom Bombers: Only has 10 position players. Roster will need major work. TM has proven he knows baseball by improving each year, finishing 2nd last year, but I have to question this as well. Do you have some new strategy up your sleeve TM?

Do I have some new strategy? not really. I do believe that the talent available in the latter rounds of the draft is about the same available now in the waiver wire, if you count sleepers, hot/slow starts and such, but you're better off leaning towards JL's thinking - I'm slipping; this was by far the year I took the least pre-draft work (usually I got baseball fever) and to make it worse, I got home in a hurry and was doing too many things at once. I busted into my bedroom on my 1st pick countdown, messed up my 3rd pick (Upton over Crawford even though I have convinced myself it's better this way ) and would've drafted two more closers if I had noticed they were still available by the time JL swiped'em. I wasn't sure about Beltran's condition (that was my "pick from the heart") or about Stephen Strasburg's status for instance and yes, the draft was a disaster I always trust that I'll find sleepers for SP and RP and took too long to start concentrating on them, then once I did it, I forgot about the backups! and now that you're into it, offensive shortages aside, how do you feel about my pitching? it all depends on Carpenter I think; what's the latest news on his health? what about Brandon Webb's?

My quick analysis after looking at the rosters (not very different from JL's): BA - Needs a comeback from Soto and Soriano, killer top two SP, no obvious studs on offense TM - Ibanez, Hamilton may prove to be steals in the rounds they were drafted; needs positional back-ups VJ - Offense pretty impressive (McCann, Howard, Utley); pitching OK YO - Decent for auto-draft; Will need to work out some backup situations BB - Pretty strong team; Will need comebacks from "name" SPs; Will he get good Manny or bad Manny? JL - As the Mets goes, so will JL's team; Dunn was a great get in the 8th round (multi-positional!); Mauer at pick 6 a surprise but he wouldn't have made it back to him anyway so had to pick him JG - DeRo provides great flexibility; Needs more RPs; questions at SP; nice balanced offense CC - Pretty good draft for the rookie; good get of Reimold with late round pick; Will need pitching help BL - Votto pick a steal; Will need to address back-up positions; Pitching a risk My team - OK, not overly excited about it. Over-reached for Zobrist, but I don't think I would have gotten him in the next round. Like, not love, my pitching. At least this year, I have RPs who can get saves.

For some reason the waiver priority doesn't reflect the draft order. I should be 8 but I'm 10. Everyone's is different. Yeah, I should be #1 obviously. Hmm, I better take a looksee at the waiver wire
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

For some reason the waiver priority doesn't reflect the draft order. I should be 8 but I'm 10. Everyone's is different. Have no idea why Yahoo did that. I was the only one correctly slotted at "3". Yahoo probably anticipated this problem because it gave this hint in the "Edit Waiver Priority" link: Helpful Hint: You may want to use this tool to reset the waiver priority order following the draft or to resolve issues caused by transaction errors. In any case, I changed it to the reverse order of the draft, like usual. Darn, I had my torches and pitchforks ready to go, but I guess I'll save them... you're still a good commissioner...
