Her secret is identical to the space-travel age-suspension chamber used in that "Twilight Zone" episode where that guy meets that girl and they fall in love but he must leave for 50 years on the ship but he takes himself off the age-suspension machine and ages 50 years just lonely as hell flying through space and when he gets back he hopes to meet the girl he left behind and as it turns out she went into a similar age-suspension machine to stay young (like he would have) but when he gets home he is old and she is young and he tells her to go away because he is an old man.
