Too often, rape comes down to "he said, she said" and it's impossible to prove in court, especially since celebrities are at risk of being falsely accused.

However, I've seen these jerks in bars (I lived about 10 minutes from Pace University, where the NY Giants used to spend their summers) and know that they believe that every woman who even says hello to them is a willing sex partner.
