After working in a school for over 20 years, I can understand certain rules. In my school, like I'm sure all others, certain rules thru the years, had to be created and enforced to coincide with the times. Students were not allowed to wear any gang colors, or wear their caps backwards; of course no gang related shirts, or clothing with inappropriate language was permitted. These are understandable and it's reasonable to ban them. While the caps themselves, the colors themselves are not "wrong", in total context, when they relate to gangs (or gang activity), it's reasonable. BUT, to send students home for wearing their country's flag is totally unfair. Be it Cinco De Mayo or not, I see absolutely NO reason for these children to be reprimanded, let alone suspended (which I'm guessing won't happen). The parents have good legal case should they want to pursue this if you ask me. TIS

I used to like squirrels -- in fact, some would come up within a few feet of me for a peanut -- until they found a liking to my potted plants
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

I spent $16 for 2 tiny Egret Flower bulbs (they're each like the size of a peanut) which I just potted 2 days ago. I hope they didn't find them. In fact, while planting my herbs (so far they're safe; I guess cuz they're aromatic -- or -- cuz they're surrounded by pebbles still ), I found a peanut in the ground with a root coming out of it (!) so planted that in another pot to see what'd happen. I'm sure they found that one. Repels-All seems to work okay (when I kept up with it around the strawberry plants), but it washes away in rain. Just tried it again around my potted plants -- which are on a table, by the way!

JG, did your mom love her gift?? Not quite. Well, she loved the idea/thought, of course, but the bakery in Brooklyn I ordered the cheesecake from didn't ship it properly and it arrived in bad shape. I'm gonna have to fight with them to resend it. Hope you guys are having a good day, though!

What is it with shippers. I shipped my mom something and paid extra for a Saturday delivery. They delivered it on Friday. I placed my order last Sunday, saying it was for Mothers Day (the following Sunday), and it was delivered Thursday. I usually don't mind fast shipping, of course, but Friday or Saturday would've been nice. Tho, I guess it's better to arrive early than late!

My mom's birthday was Saturday and Mother's day Sunday. I sent her an edible fruit bouquet (those things are delicious). I asked for a Saturday delivery. When I called my mom in the afternoon they still hadn't received it. Within a couple hours they delivered it, on Saturday as requested. I lucked out!! For the price you pay (I paid 12 dollars for delivery), they should get the delivery day right. TIS

This is surreal. Walkout This will just drive up nativism.
