AP Photo/Matt Sayles, fileNEW YORK – Rue McClanahan, the Emmy-winning actress who brought the sexually liberated Southern belle Blanche Devereaux to life on the hit TV series "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 76. Her manager Barbara Lawrence said McClanahan died Thursday at 1am of a stroke.

June 06 - The little fame Justin Bieber who rocked the 'Today Show' crowd on Saturday at Rockefeller Center with his live performance was arrested in the parking lot of Ringo's Pub in Plano, north of Dallas.

There has been rumors on the internet that Justin Bieber was arrested with a friend, but sources says he was alone in a car of his friend when police approached.

According to sources, "he had a little under 2 ounces of marijuana in a plastic baggy sitting in clear view on the dashboard."

It seems that Chace Crawford was arrested in Texas, not Justin Bieber. The Bieber story is simply a rumor.

Ok, I saw an article on Chace Crawford but really don't know who he is.

I saw Bieber recently and he is a cute little kid. What is he? All of 12/13? I'm amazed that by grandkids even know him and love his singing.

I think he's 15, TIS. One of the guys my daughter works with came running up to her and said, "Who is this Beeper kid?? I'm supposed to get a CD or a poster or something for my daughter because my wife said she's sick of looking!"

Heavyweight star John Goodman shocked stars at a Los Angeles awards ceremony - after arriving looking much thinner. The normally portly actor looked as though he had dropped at least 100lbs as he walked out at a red carpet event.

The 57-year-old, who was rumored to weigh almost 400 pounds 18 months ago, looked almost half the man he was as he attended the AFI Life Achievement Award party in honor of director Mike Nichols.

Wow, really? I'll have to find a picture. He was certainly way overweight. I can imagine how much better he looks, let alone how much better he must feel.

Here you go, TIS. I didn't realize how huge he had grown. Goodman still delivered one of my favorite lines in TV history. He guest starred on "The West Wing" as the Speaker of the House who has to take over the office of the President temporarily. When he takes the oath, the administration had no VP, and he was encouraging the staffers to find one ASAP. He said, "Don't know if you've taken a good look at me lately, but I'm one prime rib away from a heart attack."

You get a good appreciation of just how big he had grown when you see him walking down a hallway of Congress in the movie Evan Almighty.

Just rewatched 'the Village'. Am I the only one who was pretty impressed with this film? It isn't neary as bad as people say it was.

Larry King will retire as host of CNN's "Larry King Live" after 25 years, he announced Tuesday evening.

King will step down from the program in the fall, but remain with CNN.

"I talked to the guys here at CNN and I told them I would like to end Larry King Live, the nightly show, this fall and CNN has graciously accepted, giving me more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' little league games," he wrote on his blog. "I'll still be a part of the CNN family, hosting several Larry King specials on major national and international subjects.

"With this chapter closing I'm looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it's time to hang up my nightly suspenders," he added.

There's just something wrong with someone Larry King's age saying those words, unless he's talking about his grandchildren.

To be honest, I've always thought that people who say there's something wrong with something like that are actually jealous of the person they're criticizing.

You're right. I am insanely jealous of Larry King. Larry King, who requires validation so badly that he's been married eight times and engaged nine, a man so shallow and fickle that he boasted that his current wife is the only one who lasted to a double digit anniversary, and then filed for divorce, and then changed his mind, a man so self-centered that he never bothered meeting his own son and namesake for over 30 years.

You forgot to mention that Larry King is also a famous celebrity. To many people, that outweighs all of what you mentioned.

Okay, so maybe you're not jealous of him. But my comment still stands regarding many of those who make statements like that. I don't see why men can't have children when they're older. I think there are many women who are jealous of the fact that men don't have the "ticking biological clock" that women do.
