Thank goodness he fled to Chile and not Argentina, as was feared. Argentina does not extradite criminals, as the Nazis knew. There were enough former Nazis hiding out in Argentina that they could have changed the capital's name from Buenos Aires to Berlin.

Right. Double jeopardy only attaches (in the US) after a not guilty verdict. Dutch law applies in Aruba. The British were the last rulers of South Afica. By the way, Argentina and the US have an extradition treaty.
