Since I started playing in this league I've been waiting for that "perfect" day, where I have 3 starters going and they all pitch well. Well I finally got it... sorta. I got 112 pts from my pitching, but my hitters took the day off and scored 4 pts. I figured if I ever had that day where all three pitchers had good games my hitters would at least be good for 25-30 pts and it would look impressive.. Oh well, I can't really complain, but still waiting for that record breaking day.

My SP is a mess. Earlier in the year, they were all pitching great except Santana. Now it's the opposite. If this is anything more than a slump, I'm dead.

well all of'em Romero, Pelfrey, Hughes and especially Niemann would have to come back to earth sometime. other than that your top 2 SP are as good as they come and Hughes can keep doing well and get a lot of Wins as well.

I didn't start him for a reason -- even against the Nats. 4 runs in 6 innings isn't terrific, but the Phils ended up losing 8-1. That means his bullpen gave up another 4 runs in just 2 more innings. And they didn't hit. Not O's fault.

I feel especially pissed off with Jose Bautista. I don't think a single scout in the world thought he had another monster month in the tank, but there is his astonishing .337/.396/.750 line in july. with 10 HR. and being today july 31st you can only assume he'll still reach the 12 he hit in april and that were almost tied for career high.

My entire offense has been ridiculous the last week or so. They're putting up 50+ points on a semi-regular basis. They're carrying my slumping SP.

with the trade deadline approaching and mostly everyone within reach of jumping a few spots in the standings I have sent trade offers to just about everyone but only JG reacted in some way.what happened to those trade-happy ways of the past years??

It's been a strange year for trades, I agree. Honestly I've tried to come up with some sort of trade offer for each and every team, but after I analyze to death I realize I'll just be trading one spot for another. Same goes for any trade requests I've received. I think it's because I don't really have any good players on the bench that I can use to improve another position. I'm going with all my starters and if someone gets hurt I'm basically screwed.

I haven't looked at Bam's perspective, but I like it from my perspective. While TM is stockpiling quality SP, he now has nobody to play 2B or 3B on his roster. Starters or backups. I hated your trade until he made the BAM trade.
