Well we're continuing our unseasonably cooler weather here. By which I mean in the 80's as compared to the 100s. If the extended forecast is accurate, it's going to remain this way for the next week. Can't complain. It's beautiful!!! TIS Btw, Grandparentdom is a whole new ballgame isn't it????

MC, I think maybe you got the heatwaves we didn't. It's been an exceptionally beautiful summer. By that I mean, much less triple digit days all summer. It was in the 100's for a few days last week, but it got to only 70something today and the rest of the week will be maybe in the 80's. Perfect actually. Thanks for taking the heat for us. TIS

MC, Thanks for taking the heat for us. TIS Our pleasure! NOT. Yesterday it hit the low 90s, but the wind was kickin' up. This morning at 6:30 it was 58, clear blue sky. Went for a bike ride on the A.C. boardwalk. Repeat weather for Friday, Saturday. You can have your heat back.

Metro Detroit may see a record high temperature for today's date as a layer of low pressure in Minnesota pushes warmth our way, according to the National Weather Service.
The area is expected to flirt with hitting 89 degrees, the record set on Sept. 23, 1936, said weather service meteorologist Steve Considine who works out of the service's White Lake Township reporting station.

I can't believe how easy we've had it (heat-wise) this summer. Granted, September is still a summer month here and we MAY get more triple digits, but at this point, it's almost over.
