I too still like (and watch when I can) Leno. I think both he, Letterman AND O'Brien are good. If they make me laugh, I'll watch.

I've been watching "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" (2010), the original series from Starz, and have really been enjoying it. When the first disc arrived I was wondering if I'd get the energy to watch 13 hrs of this, but it really hooked me in with its comic-booky stylized fighting and decent acting. And lots of boobies lol. If you're into this sort of thing, and don't mind lots of bad language and nudity, check it out via Netflix.

We should worry less about cleavage on TV and more about the constant violence that our children are exposed to - in TV, in video games, in comic books, and so on.
Yup. At least Perry has a sense of humor about it. I thought the Sesame Street thing was people overreacting. It was much ado about nothing. The SNL skit on the other hand..

Winter is Coming Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. I didn't see it.. I usually don't watch SNL anymore. Russell Brand is indeed a happy man.

CNN has fired anchor Rick Sanchez following a radio rant Thursday night where he called Jon Stewart a "bigot," blamed CNN brass for discrimination against him and insinuated that the media industry is controlled by Jews. The network announced Sanchez's dismissal in a statement early Friday evening:
“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well,“ the statement said.
Sanchez's controversial interview occurred on the final day of his show in the 8 p.m. time slot, where he was replacing Campbell Brown, who departed in May. Angry about being replaced by CNN's new "Parker Spitzer" talk show and the constant jokes made at his expense on the "Daily Show," he lashed out on at his perceived enemies — CNN brass, Jon Stewart and Jews.

Has anyone seen previews of the new DeNiro/Norton movie, Stone? I have been seeing them advertise it today and it really looks good. Although I can't say I've seen much of Norton, he was wonderful in Primal Fear with Richard Gere and he looks kind of "creepy" in this movie as well. I might just see it.

Norton is an amazing actor. LOVED him in Primal Fear, and Red Dragon, too. He's so versatile. Also, there's a very cute movie with him and Ben Stiller raised as best friends who become a priest and a rabbi. I've caught it on cable a few times and it always makes me chuckle. I can't remember the name of it, but you'd like it, TIS.
Thanks SB, I'm not a Stiller fan, but I will try to check it out.
Also, I forgot! I saw Norton in The Incredible Hulk fairly recently on HBO. I never would have guessed him in the part. Norton was fine and movie was ok.

I usually find Stiller a bit annoying, but they have good chemistry in this movie. And the scenes when they first take vows is hilarious (Stiller can't get through a bris without fainting, Norton sets fire to his vestments when he's waving the incense around).
I saw the previews for the new movies but my weekends are usually taken up with football now. The Norton/DeNiro one looks promising though.

That's "Keeping the Faith," Babe. We've discussed it before. They really did a nice job of showcasing Manhattan in that film, especially the Upper West Side. It's honestly become one of my favorite New York City films over the years.
Here's the trailer, Tis:

Thanks PB. After seeing the clip, I do remember when it was out, but never saw the film.
CHECK THIS OUT: They are making a film on Phil Spector and guess who's playing him? Al Pacino!!! Why not!! I'm sure he can do it except Al is much much better looking.

Pacino can really be made up to "look" that part (the tired eyes, etc.). And we know that the acting is going to be there, so I think he's a GREAT choice!

I'm watching the NL Divisional game now.... the Giants playing the Braves in Atlanta. It's weird to hear the hometown crowd singing the Braves chant (on Columbus Day).

Good point. A bit ironic.

Ben Harper and Laura Dern are breaking up. So are David Arquette and Courtney Cox. Those were both long marriages by Hollywood/entertainment standards.
