Just saw "Avatar" on HBO yesterday. That was a very good flick. Good stuff. It was "good" -- you should have seen it in Digital 3D, which made it "very good"

Oprah seems to be going out with a bang this week...
Monday - Michael Jackson family speaks Tuesday - George Bush Wednesday - Donahue, Sally Jessy, Geraldo, Ricki and Montel together Thursday - Marie Osmond (and the loss of her son)
Then 2 days of 200 molested adult men

I never watch her show, but watched yesterday to hear from the Jacksons, and after watching Bush w/ Matt Lauer last night I might try to catch it today. But I'm certainly interested in seeing all those old talk show hosts together!

BTW - has anyone been watching "S#%t My Dad Says" on CBS? It is pretty funny! I like it a lot, Mark. To me, it's the surprise comedy of the year. Who knew that Shatner could be so deliberately funny? I mean, his hammy overacting as Kirk was hilarious, but this is a real comedy. Both of the sons are very funny as well. And the blonde who played Holly on "King of Queens" looks better at 40 than she did at 30. Ya gotta love those Hollywood Botox parties .

Los Angeles — Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from Tony Parker, citing irreconcilable differences.
Longoria filed papers this morning in Los Angeles Superior Court. She and Parker, the All-Star point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, were married July 7, 2007. They have no children together.
In the filing, Longoria, who had taken Parker's name, requested that her name be restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria. The filing also stated that the couple had a prenuptial agreement.
Longoria asked the court to require each side pay its own attorneys' fees, and rule that she should not have to pay spousal support to Parker.
"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." Winter is Coming
Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

There, there, Eva...Markie is here for you if you need a shoulder to cry on!
Holy Cow - imagine saying these words; "I cheated on Eva Langoria." What a knuckle head! Not really, considering that a man like Tony Parker has women throwing themselves at him all the time. Undoubtedly he often meets women just as attractive as Eva, if not more so. He's not like your average Joe, who would kill to get someone like her.

And, though ultimately defeated, Napoleon was certainly not someone to sneeze at.

I am really getting into "The Event." Is anyone else watching it? It can be confusing with all the flashbacks, but they've either toned down on them since the beginning of the series, or I'm getting more use to it. Two other shows that I am surprised I like so much are: Law & Order L.A. I didn't think I would, but I do. The cast is good, the stories are as well with a West Coast touch to them. Hawaii Five-O: Sure, it's a modern update, somewhat different than the original, but again, I've enjoyed the stories and I like the chemistry between the two main characters, McGarret & Danno. There's a touch of humor that wasn't in the original, but it works. I really like Scott Caan too. He's the perfect partner for McGarret on Five-O. Some mannerisms like his father, although I don't think he looks a lot like him. He sure is short though. Seeing him stand next to anybody, he's always the shortest. Oh, and the Hawaiian scenery is absolutely breath taking. I have heard that both L&O and Hawaii Five-O are doing well, rating wise, but I haven't heard about the new L&O ratings. TIS

TIS, what have you figured out is THE event? Oli, I don't know what the event is yet. It's a build up each week with new things revealed each week, but as of now I am not certain exactly what event they are referring too. It's definitely got my interest though. TIS

Anything is possible, but as of yet I haven't seen a Palin type character (it would be a comic relief though). However......there is a character that can see Russia from her house. TIS
