May 27, 1951 - Michael Franzese was born in New York City. 1968 - His father John "Sonny" Franzese was sent to prison for robbery. September of 1969 - Franzese started premed school at Hofstra University. October of 1970 - Franzese became a member of Joseph Colombo's Italian American Civil Rights Leauge and fights for Italian rights. December of 1970 - He was arrested for the first time during an I.A.C.R.L protest. Franzese was picked up for loitering. But the charge was soon dropped. January 17, 1971 - Colombo made Franzese a captain of the I.A.C.R.L. June 28, 1971 - Colombo was murdered by a black guy named Jerome Johnson at a unity rally for Italian Americans. Many think either Joe Gallo paid Johnson to murder him or LCN boss Carlo Gambino did. July of 1971 - Franzese quits premed school at Hofstra and gets involved in the Colombo Family as an associate. August 25, 1971 - Franzese opened up an auto body shop in Brooklyn. January of 1972 - He opened up another auto body shop in Deer Park, LI. November of 1973 - Franzese was arrested on a stolen camero charge. June of 1974 - He became an assistant manager of a weekend flea market in Farmingdale, LI after his friend Vincent Vingo talked him into it. Vingo was the manager. Franzese started a shylocking operation there. July of 1974 - He was acquitted of the stolen camero charge. June of 1975 - Franzese married Maria. October 25, 1975 - Franzese became a made member of the Colombo Family of La Cosa Nostra. He was placed in the Andrew "Andy Mush" Russo Crew. January of 1979 - Franzese, Larry "Champagne Larry" Carrozza and another mobster are involved in the murder of Colombo Family associate turned informant, Joey Laezza. Laezza was stabbed eleven times. February of 1979 - His father is released from prison after serving 10 years. January of 1980 - He started the Rumplik Chevrolet Dealership. His father goes back to prison for violating his parole by consorting with known criminals. February of 1981 - Franzese opened up the Franzese Mazda Dealership. October of 1981 - He became a caporegime. March 17, 1983 - Franzese met Larry Iorizzo, owner of the Vantage Petroleum Gasoline Co., which had 310 gas stations in the United States. March 22, 1983 - Iorizzo made Franzese a business partner and asked Franzese to get involved in a gasoline scheme that could milk hundreds of millions of dollors. May of 1983 - Franzese moved to L.A. to get involved in movie producing. His friend Larry "Champagne Larry" Carrozza is murdered. January of 1984 - He produced a low-budget film called "Never Say Die" with Colombo Family associate Jerry Zimmerman. June 18, 1984 - Franzese, Frank "The Gangster" Castagnaro and William Reese are involved in the beating of Franzese's landlord of his Mazda Dealership, Thomas Trimboli. June 21, 1984 - Franzese is picked up for the beating of Trimboli. January of 1985 - He goes to Fort Lauderdale, FL to produce a movie called "Knights of the City." He meets and falls in love with a young Mexican-American actress named Camille Garcia. May of 1985 - Franzese divorced his pretty wife Maria. July of 1985 - Franzese married Camille in Las Vegas. November 25, 1985 - His first child with Camille was born in a Hospital in Beverly Hills. They named her Miquelle. December of 1985 - Franzese was arrested for racketeering in Florida. January 3, 1986 - Franzese was indicted in New York City along with four others for being involved in a gas-tax scheme that cheated Florida out of $40 million. March 26, 1986 - Franzese pleaded guilty in the case. His sentencing was set for June. June of 1986 - Franzese was sent to prison. He found God while in prison and quits the mob life. Fortune Magazine listed Franzese as number 18 of the "fifty most wealthy and powerful mafia bosses." January 22, 1987 - Camille gave birth to Amanda while Franzese was still in prison. October 8, 1989 - He was released from Terminal Island Federal Prison. October 15, 1989 - Franzese was Baptized. December of 1989 - His younger brother John Franzese Jr. became a made member of the Colombo Family. 1990 - Camille gave birth to Michael Franzese Jr. April of 1992 - Franzese published "Quiting The Mob," which is a story of his life. November 13, 1992 - He was sent back to prison for violating his parole. December of 1994 - Franzese was released from Lompoc Federal Prison. January of 2003 - Franzese published "Blood Covenant," an updated and expanded story of his life. March of 2009 - His book "I'll Make You An Offer You Can't Refuse" is published. January 18, 2010 - Franzese is arrested for writing a pair of bad checks. February 17, 2010 - The charge was dropped against him. June 14, 2010 - His younger brother John Franzese Jr. became an informant and testified against their father.
