Jan 08, 2011 Rep. Gabrielle Giffords shot in Arizona
Rep. Gabrille Giffords (D- Ariz.) was shot while holding a public event outside a Tuscon grocery store, Arizona Public Media reports. At least nine others were injured.
A gunman ran up and started shooting while the third-term congresswoman was hosting a "Congress in Your Corner" event, according to Peter Michaels, news director of Arizona Public Media.
It's still not confirmed that she has died as well as 4 others including a child.
This is such a shame and it is really disgusting. From what I hear she's alive and went through surgery. God speed to all the victims and their families.

Agreed. To hear those idiots from that church tell it, that poor girl's death (as well as the others') was God's vengeance.
There are no words to describe my rage at hearing such disgusting garbage as that.
I am glad to hear that this bill was pushed through as quickly as it was, without partisan bickering. The other forty-nine states should strongly consider this as well.
