Hey Mukremin, Have you ever think to make a chart on the Rizzuto family?, I find one in the web, even if not updated, here it is. Boss "Vito rizzuto" Underboss "Jos Di Maulo" Consigliere "Nicolo Rizzuto" Captains/ lieutenants "Francesco Arcadi" "Nicodemo Cotroni" "Frank Martorana" "Vincenzo Di Maulo" "Giuseppe Morello" "Valentino Morielli" "Emanuele Ragusa" Soldiers "Vincenzo De Santis" "Francesco Cotroni Jr." "Antonio Marabella" "Sabatino Niccolucci" "Leonardo Paccione" "Antonio Teoli" "Domenico Tozzi" "Anthony Volpato" "Raynald Desjardins" "Raymond Fernandez" "William "Willie Obie" Obront" "Réal Simard" Some more high-ranking members include - Francesco Del Balso Lorenzo Giordano Paolo Renda Rocco Sollecito Other members and associates - Constantine Alevizos Ennio Bruni Antony Capitanio Antonio Caputo Martino Caputo Joseph Di Maulo Andrea Di Paolo Frank Faustini Juan Ramon Fernandez Moreno Gallo Felice Italiano Ray Kahno Tony Mucci Sabatino Nicolucci Gaetano Panepinto Anthony Papalia Roberto Papalia Sébastien Pierre-Louis Giovanni Petrella Joseph Renda Pietro Scarcella Girolamo Sciortino Stefano Sollecito Giuseppe Torre Michele Torre Pietro Triassi Mariano Turrisi Dario Zanetti Benjamin Zappia Going through that list, I find it highly skeptical that Real Simard was a soldier, given he flipped in the late 80's, as well as his close position to Cotroni, who was head of the now defunct Calabrian faction of the now Rizzuto Organization.Azure9920 Heavy Weight The site, where i found it http://www.streetgangs.com/billboard/viewtopic.php?f=304&t=43388

Ivyleage is right, there's only 15 made men left in KC and about 11 are still active.
1. Former Boss - Anthony "Tony Ripe" Civella (passed away in 2006) 2. Current Boss - John Joseph "Johnny Joe" Sciortino /68 3. Underboss- Peter "Las Vegas Pete" Civella /65 4. Capo - William "Little Willie" Cammisano, Jr. /62 5. Capo - Vincent "Vince" Civella /54 6. Capo - Joseph Porello/86 - Life in prison 7. Capo - James Duardi, Jr. /89 - Retired 8. Soldier - Peter Ribaste /56 9. Soldier - John Calia /65 - In prison until 2016 10. Soldier - Nicholas "Nick" LaBruzzo 11. Soldier - James Moretina /61 12. Soldier - Nathaniel "Nathan" Brancato /78 13. Soldier - Joseph "Joe Rag" Ragusa /71 14. Soldier - Anthony "Tony" Simone /65 15. Soldier - John Mandacina /62 - Life in prison 16. Soldier - Benjamin "Ben" Palmentere /61 First of all Johhny Joe is pushing 75 years of age, He was 71 when he attended Tony Civella's funeral, he sat next to my uncle. The underboss is not Pete "Civella" its Pete Simone. Joe Porrello was never a capo his dad was Angelo. KC has two Capo's Cammisano Jr. and Vince Civella. Jimmy Duardi has been retired for years and died last month at 98. John Calia is not made he was an associate of John Glorioso who is made active and not listed. This is according to trial docuents.Nate Brancato is retired and has Alzheimers. Joe Ragusa is retired and and does not live in KC anymore. Tony Simone is only an associate and is not made.He was always more of a businessman then a gangster. Pete and Tommy "highway" Simone were the gangsters. The merry ferryl information is from 1968. 3/4 of the names died before 1980. Made guys you dont have listed are Carlo Cavallaro Joe C moteina sr. Pete Tamburello Paul Silvio Jerry Cammisano Termini Frank Deluna Retired made guys Paul Varsalona Jack Lascoula Dead guys since Tony Civella Carl Deluna Ralph Siragusa John Constanza Frank Tousa Jimmy Duardi Chuck "chuckie moragan" Cacioppo Chuck Cacioppo Jr. was said to have been made in the mid80's but I have not found verification. Nick Labruzza is said to be made but I have trial transcrips which indicate he was still and associate in 1989. Believe it or not a lot of the guys from the 70's and 80's are still alive, but are not active and many dont even in live in the state anymore, quite a few live in AZ now. Sorry but this chart is not even close.

Thats why we shouldnt consider the mafia activities in other parts of the country as organized structured crime groups. Bunch of farmers more likely I suppose it's fine to "consider" anything remaining. When Denver member Clarence "Chauncey" Smaldone died back in 2006, that was news. But when the topic specifically deals with which families are still recognized by law enforcement and mob experts as formally structured and viable, you're only dealing with 9 families at this point... 2 large ones (approx. 200 members) - Genovese, Gambino 3 mid-size (approx. 100 members) - Lucchese, Colombo, Bonanno 4 small ones (approx. 50 members) - Chicago, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia Now this doesn't mean last guy in this or that city is dead. Or that there still isn't at least some mob-connected gambling going on here or there. But more or less remnants of families now. Not enough to even be on the radar.

"The Mafia remains potent in the New York City area, where officials say the mob is hard to uproot because it has five separate and large crime families, and in the suburbs of Chicago. But in most other areas, where prosecutors have to contend with only a single family, the legendary mob that once controlled entire labor unions, city governments, and criminal enterprises has clearly lost its grip." (1990) http://www.the-laborers.org/lexisnexis/articles/mob_in_decline.htm"Only New York and Chicago have substantial Mafia organizations." (1997) http://www.slate.com/id/1054/"The estimated made membership of the LCN is 1100 nationwide, with roughly 80% of the members operating in the New York metropolitan area. There are five crime families that make up the LCN in New York City: the Bonanno, the Colombo, the Genovese, the Gambino, and the Lucchese families. There is also LCN operational activity in Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and the Miami\South Florida area, but much less so than in New York. In other previous strongholds such as Cleveland, Detroit, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Pittsburgh, the LCN is now weak or non-existent." (1999) http://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/218555.pdf"The LCN is most active in the New York metropolitan area, parts of New Jersey, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, and New England. It has members in other major cities and is involved in international crimes." (2000) http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/organizedcrime/italian_mafia/?searchterm=lacosanostra"Once boasting 26 families nationwide, the mob is down to 11, half of those confined to the New York area. Moreover, the Mafia's influence still extends far beyond New York. There remain active families in Chicago, Detroit, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Miami." (2000) http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/badguys/060912/the_mafia_a_21stcentury_cosa_n.htm"Only families in New York and Chicago, the largest traditional bases, retained a semblance of organizational frameworks. Elsewhere in the nation, the twenty-odd borgatas were in disarray or practically defunct, except in areas where the New York and Chicago families had branches, especially in Florida. The remaining strength of the Mob was largely concentrated in New York and the Northeast Corridor." (2005) Five Families - Selwyn Raab "Cosa Nostra, once a nationwide organization of Italian-American mobsters, is down to one outfit in Chicago and New York City's five organized families - the Bonannos, Colombos, Gambinos, Genovese, and Luccheses. They are about 'all that's left,' Mob historian Selwyn Raab says." (2005) http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-03-09-mafia-cover_x.htm "They're beleaguered, battered, and bruised but they are far from wiped out. They have been hurt by nearly three decades of prosecutions, mostly by federal authorities. But the five families in New York and those in other metropolitan areas, notably Chicago and its suburbs, remain viable criminal networks." (2006) http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/05/weekinreview/05capeci.html"Today, families in former strongholds like Cleveland, Tampa, and Los Angeles are gone. Our thing - as initiates called the mob - is in serious decline everywhere but New York City." (2007) http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-10-25-2782988181_x.htmIn the video from 2009 below, at about the 3:30 mark, Franzese refers to there still be 9 La Cosa Nostra families left. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4itjtW-3sbw

The charts are more or less accurate, i got the information and pictures from many sources both here on the forum and elsewhere on the internet. Some experts here helped me to, like Ivy and NJBoy. Not all of them are alive and free the details next to the name meaning IP is in prison etc. Recently the indictments changed many families. So ill make an update soon. PDF and JPG doesnt change anything, lot of people prefer jpg. Take a look at the charts and enjoy

Hi frank, as stated the charts are not 100% accurate. We have limited information, so we can just guess whos who and what the word is on the street. It is possible that we miss some made men, but it wont be a major player cuz it would allready have been in the news. Great contribution though. Where the hell did you get a picture of Bonanno capo Anthony Calabrese? He's like Vinny TV's right hand man. Could you upload that picture.
