Fox News said in September that if any of its paid contributors—such as Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum—decide to run for president, the network will be forced to sever their lucrative deals.
There's been speculation over the past 24 hours that Gingrich might form a presidential exploratory committee this week, which raised questions about whether his airtime on Fox could be considered an campaign contribution. And even though Gingrich hasn't formed such a committee, the cable news network is suspending the 12-year Fox News veteran—along with Rick Santorum—for 60 days.
