Crowd boos Sheen during his 1st leg of stage tour April 2, 2011, 9:47 PM EST
DETROIT (AP) -- Charlie Sheen and his "goddesses" took the stage to thunderous applause Saturday night for the first leg of his "Torpedo of Truth" tour. The 70-minute show hadn't even ended when the first reviews were in, and they were brutal.
The former "Two and a Half Men" star showed that comedic success on the screen doesn't necessarily translate to the stage, and the capacity crowd at the 5,100-seat Fox Theatre rebelled before he left the stage, chanting "refund!" and walking out in droves.
Linda Fugate, 47, of the Detroit suburb of Lincoln Park, walked outside and up the block yelling, "I want my money back!" She said she paid $150 for two seats. "I was hoping for something. I didn't think it would be this bad."
"Generosity. That was my first mistake." "Experience must be our only guide; reason may mislead us." "Instagram is Twitter for people who can't read."

I read earlier that Sheen yelled back at one of the hecklers that, "I already got your money anyway". I still don't really know what kind of a show it was suppose to be? Comedy? And what part did the "goddesses" play in this routine? I assumed it was one of his rants about tiger blood, etc. Maybe he's finally crashing and burning. He needs help and hopefully he'll get it. I read earlier that Sheen yelled back at one of the hecklers that, "I already got your money anyway". That's the only thing Charlie Sheen has said lately that's made any sense. What did these people THINK the show was going to be? It's like they're lining up to see him self-implode, and that's disgusting. I know that these concert venues exist to make money, but Radio City? The Christmas show, Madagascar Live and Charlie Sheen. Nice.

How embarrassing for Sheen. Of course, it's hard to muster up sympathy for some who paid big bucks to see him. Like the one guy who said he paid $500???? How stupid is that? I still don't know what people expected his show to be. Get help Charlie!!! TIS

And then he calls himself a Sheenius. Yea that's right! Sheer Sheenius all right! It must have turned sour immediately because he evidently walked out to thunderous applause and what? Within an hour he was being booed? What do ya bet Sheen will be begging to go back on Two & A Half Men. Ya think???? TIS

This is so perfect. Idiotic fans thinking Sheenie had talent. I hope thousands of shit-for-brains fans get hosed. Chants of REFUND! REFUND! REFUND! He does have talent. There is a reason why he was the highest paid actor on television. If you actually think he's talentless, then I'd love to hear your definition of talent. Today, Charlie Sheen is in desperate need of psychiatric help and anyone who thinks they'll be getting the old Charlie is nothing short of being a moron. I think there is nothing wrong with disliking Charlie Sheen, but to imply he's got no talent says more about you than Charlie Sheen.

Apparently he did better in Chicago.
Vinny, please relax and don't take "opinions" so literal. Yes, he's a talented actor, but as Frank pointed out, that doesn't make you a stand up comic. Peace be with you, my response was in the vein of a Charlie Sheen rant.
I'll go with Webster's definition of talent # 4 - "a special often athletic, creative, or artistic aptitude".

Lincoln Park is what we refer to locally as "downriver" and has been (deservedly or not and tongue-in-cheek or not) long considered by anyone who doesn't live downriver to be a place where lower-class not too bright people whose family trees don't fork, go to live. So...there is a STRONG chance that she did think Sheen would have been worth the dough.

Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Yes, he's a talented actor, but as Frank pointed out, that doesn't make you a stand up comic. I said the same thing in an earlier post. Sheen is a great actor. And not just in comedy, either. Don't forget "Wall Street" and "Platoon" back in the '80s. The thing is, he has no stage background at all. He's never done standup. He's never done off-Broadway, let alone a Broadway type play. He's never done anything in front of a live audience. And getting up in front of a live audience is an entirely different animal than working in front of a camera. Very few actors can do both well (the most notable exception has to be Pacino). I don't know what he or his audience were expecting. What I do know is that the jackals in the media fed this frenzy. Maybe now these suckers who shelled out for the tickets to his show will finally see the media for what they really are. A bunch of soulless leaches.

Speaking of feeding, if indeed Sheen returns to MEN after all this...well, CBS only enables the SheenEgo further.
But who cares? MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!
~At least Sheen that loony toon admitted this as much at his Chicago gig. Maybe it took this "flop" for him down from his "high." I too think he'll return to his show. Like you say, money talks. Regardless, the guy needs help. Hope this might encourage him to do so. TIS

Well said. Sorry MaryCas, I thought you were being literal there before. Didn't mean to sound harsh. I apologize for that.
