The entire scene in the hospital, from the waiting room to Max's freakout to Alex's coffee run, Drew trying to call his Dad, and then the surgeon coming out to get Sarah and then they finally saw Amber. And then Amber and Zeke in the junkyard, and Adam and his boss, just one terrific scene after another.

And can we just give the kid who plays Max an Emmy now and move on? He's just incredible.

Watching "All That Jazz" with Roy Scheider. What a fantastic movie, and he's just great in the role. The differences between Chief Brody and Joe Gideon are immense, yet he brings a special nuance that still allows you to see Roy Scheider through it. He was so under-appreciated as a performer.

The TNT series pilot for Dallas begins a 12-day North Texas shoot next week. The pilot follows the next generation of Ewings led by Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson and Jordana Brewster. Larry Hagman, Charlene Tilton, Steve Kanaly, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy from the original series are also on board.

I've never heard a better group of singers in a play or movie. Everyone of them was excellent. I memorized the entire score and I play the tape in my car several times a year.

Oli, I liked the cast too. Ted Neely made a good Jesus IMHO. I forgot the title of the movie in which Jefferey Hunter played Jesus (King of Kings?) but he too had the "look", at least as I would picture Jesus. I also was reminded what a nice voice Yvonne Elliman has. They played Godspell next but I couldn't see overdoing it with the religion. It's time for Desperate Housewives.

I saw Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway back in the 70s. What a phenomenal play, yet the Church was originally against it, no? I think mostly because of the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. I would have enjoyed seeing Godspell, which I haven't seen since I was a kid.

The gentleman who runs my daughter's theater camp wrote a musical called "The 12", which about the lives of the apostles after Jesus's death. It was very good, but I'm not sure if it will make it to Broadway.

It's entertaining though. I don't know anybody like these people.

The setting was a live, on-stage interview conducted by NBC news anchor Brian Williams that was part of the Tribeca Film Festival.

But talk about film and art turned to politics and ardent Barack Obama supporter DeNiro let loose on possible Presidential candidate Trump.

"I won't name names, but certain people in the news in the last couple of weeks, just, what are they doing? It's crazy."

Williams asked if he was specifically referring to someone with a show on his own network on Sunday nights -- that would be Celebrity Apprentice -- and DeNiro confirmed he was talking about Trump.

Even Mayor Bloomberg also told Trump to stop this birth certificate nonsense. He advised the GOP to stop carrying on about this crap and get back to the real issues, like the economy, or risk losing the next election.

Never heard of the movie but it sounds like something I might like.


On another note, they are filming an episode of Law & Order L.A. today in which a senator is gunned down during a townhall type meeting much like the real-life Gabby Gifford, the AZ senator who was shot. Some are saying it's too soon after this tragedy and yet L&O is known for it's "ripped from the headlines" themes. I never thought I'd like a L&O being filmed anywhere but NYC. I must admit, I like this new show. Yet, it's been on hiatus so long and just returned, so I don't see it lasting.

Ok, I don't necessarily consider him my favorite actor, I know nothing much of his personal life and really have only seen him in one role (for the most part) and that role in one of my very favorite film series. There is only ONE Jason Bourne and that's Matt Damon. I know nothing about this other guy, but I want Matt Damon. Puts a damper on the entire film for me.

Ok, after checking further, turns out Damon wants to make another Bourne film BUT with the same director he's worked with in the other Bourne films, Paul Greengrass. Yet the article states:

Instead, the studio is pushing forward with The Bourne Legacy which, despite its title, does not feature the character of Jason Bourne at all.

LOL, oh yea, makes perfect sense.
