It's a Web-ready type of file that saves on space and time for uploading. You don't need a digital camera; just take a normal photo and scan it in onto your computer (if you have a scanner). Don't worry about the JPEG file though if you're confused, I'd try and sort that out after you EMail me it.

Alternatively, you can sign up for Tripod and upload images to your own account--that's what I do.
