It's interesting to note the lack of a heavy Lucchese presence in Florida.

Interesting about the Florida activity.

It's featured in the movie and book Donnie Brasco.

One of the things the Bonannos wanted to do was import NYC water to Tampa to make pizza. There's a pizzeria in downtown Tampa that markets itself as using NYC water to make better pizza. I can't help but think those owners were inspired by Donnie Brasco.

If you guys ever come down here, you should take a walk around Ybor City and eat at Columbia. It was Trafficante's favorite place to eat.

SKINNY, you should take one of my mob walking tours of Ybor. I think you'd enjoy it. Next on is March 24th. www.cigarcitymagazine.com/events

I find that kinda hard to believe, depending what tier you are on. If your running rackets and change alliances whose the money gonna get kicked up too? Any aficionados have an answer and/or suggestion to my question. Thanks - The Original Dicknose

I stand by my quote there. You had/have a very fluid structure between families in S Florida. Look at Operation Cherokee from the late 80's. You had Gambino, Luchesse, Buffalo, and Bufalino guys working together. In The 2000 Raffa case, you had Gambino and Bonnano associates working with the Trafficantes.

If you look back, the situation was the same going back to the 50s and 60s.

Eddie and Sam's Pizza. They opened in 98, so they could have gotten the idea from Sonny Black!

Scott D, I copied it from another site (not RD) and it said you made it. Well, the reason it doesn't list associates is because this is a chart on made men. Regardless, it is a very nice chart on the Tampa Mob.

I'm surprised by that. Is that confirmed? I thought the last of the Trafficante's were either dead or extremely old and Gambinos run the Tampa rackets.

last making ceremony I am aware of took place in the mid 90s (the one where John Mamone was made), though there was some rumors of one in the early 2000s but just anecdotal info I've received.

Who's the boss in Tampa? I know there's not much structure anymore, but if they had ceremonies in the last few years there has to be someone.

Vince LoScalzo is the last known boss. However, like the late Michael Genovese or Pete Milano, that's more in name only now. Check out the article below.
